[Music] on September 24th, 2023, FWC officers Justes Wedy, Gilmore, and my personal favorite, Officer Morgan, were dispatched to Jupiter Sandbar in the Loxahatchee River in regards to several vessels being reckless and causing a disturbance. Upon approaching the beached vessels, three subjects began throwing cans in the mangroves, which really upset the officer. Now, according to Florida statute 379.3313, the FWC can board your vessel and search it without a warrant, but that's only if you're actively fishing or transporting fish. So, technically, the only boat that could have been searched in this manner was this one. But these kids are dumb. All right, yeah, yeah, they got cans everywhere. I got cans there. The officers begin the task of getting everyone's identification so they could all be written citations, some worse than others, and even worse, they're calling everyone's parents.
