Today, we will be talking about three buffs and three nerfs I am certain are coming with Path of Exile: Settlers of Ker, the next PvE expansion that will be releasing on July 26th. Although the patch notes for 3.25 are not on my screen right now, I'm pretty certain about these predictions here, so we're going to get into them in just a moment. Let's get to the buffs and to the nerfs. We will, of course, be beginning with the buffs in 3.25, and the first buff I am confident

in is that of melee. Okay, this has been a hot topic for a long time in Path of Exile. 1 ranged is obvious, obviously Superior. Spells are superior, totems, mines, all these different forms of gameplay are superior to melee in so many forms. You have to be risky when you're playing a Melee character. You have to invest differently. You have to have much more powerful gear and defenses when you were a Melee character. There are very few benefits, and there are lots of drawbacks. Now, me, I always try to go for a melee or pseudo-melee character, but a lot of people don't do that. They just go with the meta, and the meta is usually bows. It's some sort of spell, it's totems a lot of the time, even minions, I believe, are more popular than melee right now. So this archetype could use a substantial buff. There are a few things that could be buffed here. Number one, I think this is almost certainly going to happen, given the game director Mark Roberts' words on

this in 3.2 fors reveal are totems. Okay, melee relies heavily on the use of ancestral totems, setting them down constantly every few seconds. Every time you move, you got to reset them. They don't drag with you or anything, and they give you a 30 to 40% more damage buff, depending on how you invest into them, and that's massive. Okay, I know the plight here. I have been playing melee for the past four leagues at least, and I am using these ancestral totems. If there could be some way wherein the damage was baked into our characters, into the base melee scale gems, or the totems were a passive buff that we could carry, something like that. It's just right now, there it seems like there's too much micromanagement and need to play around the totems or invest in panopticon, whether it's in our anointment or going down into that lower half of the tree. Now, I don't know if they will actually do something like that. I know that it's

on their radar, they explicitly said so, but I don't see them removing this playstyle entirely. So maybe ancestral totems will be nerfed, and then the buffs to melee will be baked into the gems themselves. Maybe we'll get some numbers buffs here. Maybe we'll get some a set of powerful new items that'll help melee out. Maybe there will be some passive tree adjustments. Maybe some ascendancies that relate heavily to melee will be reworked. I know my friend Dreamcore has been waiting for the Gladiator to be touched for so long now. Could 3.25 actually be the patch? I'm skeptical. I know this is probably going to be in his predictions video. He wants the Gladiator to be buffed, and he has for as long as I've been talking to him. But we'll just have to see. I know melee will be touched in some way, and it should be a positive buff to all melee archetypes. Buff number two is very simple, and we're going to keep it brief.

here ascendancies that have been overlooked for a long time likely will be getting slight Buffs. I'm just going to open up my favorite little tool here, and that is pee ninja. It gives you a firm field of view of what people are playing right now. You can see that right now the game in crapless was dominated by dead eyes, heropants, tricksters, inquisitors, and even necromancers are up there. Even Chieftains are pretty high up. Lots of other ascendancies are in the dumpster, some aren't even here right now. What do we have in common here with what we just talked about? Lots of melee-focused ascendancies are in here. Guardian, especially the support one, down in the dumpster, and then Gladiator. Woo. 5%. I think that at least Gladiator and a few of these other ascendancies are going to get slight reworks, maybe just like the trickster did all those years ago or the chieftain. The Pathfinder also received a rework once that has been

done. I do think that the game will be in a better spot. We a lot more of these ascendancies are actually viable, and this is very interesting everyone just to briefly talk about pee2. Right now, we have a pretty broad set of ascendancies in pee1, but in Path of Exile 2, we're going to have 36 ascendancies. What's the balance going to look like there, especially with a lot of the ascendancies having game-changing skills and abilities and stuff that changes your visuals? I'm very curious to see if they can get pu1 ascendancy balance in a good place for trade league in the leadup to pe2, and there's not a better time to do it now is the time G, and closing out with buff number three for 3.25, and that's minions, okay, and this is solely because Jonathan Rogers in their development of Path of Exile to's minions said they found a lot of various bugs and quality of life improvements that they can bring from pee2 Minions to

pee1 and I presume those will just come right now stuff to do with AI. Stuff to do with Collision interactions with various skills and items and all that. I think that's just going to hit in 3.25 and therefore that should be a nice little buff for all those who play minions like gazi or lots of other people obviously who are playing minions in today's day and age whether you're playing skeletons gums zombies anything else you should be you should be pretty happy with Pue 3.25 as long as they transfer those pee2 learnings into pee1 as they said they have. Let's move on over to the Nerfs now Exiles and everyone know knows the first two words that are going to come out of my mouth for part one here detonate dead DD has to be nerfed right everyone was playing it all the amazing players all the people who were blasted in various different forms yeah may have changed up a little bit from prior Leagues with the way they were linking it with some new

transfigured gems, but still, it's detonate dead, and it's super powerful, and it just overpowers almost every other build out there, and it kills diversity, so I really hope this time it's been a long time detonate dead will actually receive some Nerfs. I think it's almost in the state that Penance brand was in last League when everybody was sure that that was going to get nerfed. We'll have to see though G has left it in a very powerful position for quite a long time. Will they finally tap it here? We'll just have to see. I think it could get the triple tap though. Nerf number two, once again, simple tier 17 maps. This doesn't have to do with character power at all, but tier 17 maps were the discussion topic for 3.24. Everyone was talking about them. You either loved the game or hated the game, and a lot of it was derived from whether or not you enjoyed t17 Maps. Now they were the source of so many different economic

farming strategies. They were the source of all this different Strife within the community because oh my goodness they're too hard. They break too many builds. They're blocking Ubers now. And lots of Ubers now have the uniques that really wanted to find from these boss. All this drama surrounding them. So much talk. So many mid-League adjustments to the t7s. You got to remember as a baseline they didn't even have those extra Quant or currency or Scarab or map modifier bonuses at the start of the league. But they were already powerful then, right? Now t7s are the premier farming strategy. And if you can't Farm tier 17s comfortably or reliably, you miss out on a lot of generation of currency which Bas it or not that is what matters to a lot of pee players right now. It might not matter to me. I just enjoy having fun in the game. I push myself to the challenges. I kind of take the approach of well you know it just doesn't bother me. I don't see it. I don't pay.

I just play the game and I have a good time, but a lot of people were either priced out of certain things or they missed out on, you know, the generation of a little bit of wealth because of all these t17 strategies, and I do think that they will be heavily nerfed or adjusted in this patch. It's going to be controversial though because they are such a powerful form of finding unique items, divination cards, and everything else that is valuable to Pue players, so I do expect Nerfs, and I do expect quite a bit of controversy here. And then this one was on my list before one of the latest teasers dropped. Oras, I think, will be getting a big of a Nerf in 3.25. Now with the very first teaser that Grinding Gear Games released, some astute individuals noticed that determination was giving much less armor than it currently does in 3.24. I think there's going to be an aura adjustment in this patch to allow for more auras to be

viable to ensure that you don't always need determination. Grace, etc., in your build to actually be defensively viable. And with that teaser, it was almost essentially confirmed. I don't think they're only going to touch determination. I think a few other very powerful auras are going to get tapped a little bit by grinding your games. I'm very excited to see if I'm right with the patch notes that will be hitting in about a little less than two weeks. What do you think, Exiles? Was I right? Three Buffs, three Nerfs.
