Ray class is a cursed land. You have to be mad to settle here. Hi, s here, and this is going to be a video about how I use path of building, and it's a very important third-party app. There'll be a description on where to download it, and uh, yeah, just pretty much mandatory for all the build guides I do. And some of the guides we have on YouTube will have a written guide on Max roll as well. That'll be in description. So the first step that you want to do once you've installed this is you want to import a build, right? So locating the PO link will be in the YouTube description or on Max roll, and you copy-paste it in and you put it here and click import. So for example, we can see here we take that, we copy-paste it, and boom, we now have a guide. Now, it is worth noting sometimes the guides will be made before the actual patch comes out, and we've done things to simulate the actual changes. What will change then is this might say, uh, version 324, but for 325.

they are already updated generally every guide that I say on my YouTube is for 3.25. Even if it says here 3.24, etc., they are always made with the new patch in mind. You never have to be worried about following an old guide unless you're on like a three or 4-month-old video that was made for the league before. As well as for character Imports here you have a drop-down of anyone you've imported before like their characters, and you can also write the name of any content creator. For example, now I can look at Dan and all his build builds, so this could be useful for investigating builds as well. Here in the tree in all of our build guides, we make it very step by step. This is done so that you will not get lost. And um, back in the day before I started doing this, build guides would generally look like this. They would only have one final tree, and you would be told good luck. I wanted to change that, so I invented making it step by step like this and making it a lot easier to

digest. I would constantly have players telling me they didn't know where to assign skill points at what different levels. Now, a new feature on Path of Building is loadouts. Now, this is really good because what it does is it syncs the tree skill and item configuration to be the same loadout. An example of that is if we look now we are on early game and you see we have the early game filter and um like this specific skill set socket group. However, if I switch to endgame, no cluster items and tree have changed, and the skills might be the same at this section. So that's also for that one you can see that it's listed here in 1, 2, 4, and five so it's the same for those. So this is really nice because it doesn't um end up making cluster drools or anything like that not to be a part of that specific setup in this skill section as well. What we do is we have it in level groups like this. So the benefit here is that you can go through and make

sure you have all of these gems and between the levels of 1 to 12. Those are all the gems you're supposed to be using. We can also add like some notes some times like here you won't have enough decks for this at level four and then at 12 to 18 if you were previously using a gem that is here in 1 to 12 and it's not in 12 to 18 you can get rid of it so this is done so that you aren't using superus gems. Sometimes the leveling setup might change a lot like for example when we're switching over to Sunder as the main weapon. Ground slam is obviously no longer needed items pretty straightforward honestly this first one is always kind of useless in my opinion but I guess it helps newer players to have like a rough idea that all you want to focus on is resists and you know physical damage in this case here at the early game we start having some actual items and it's going of depend on a

build to build basis, but we generally go through different budgets. Now, very often I'll get asked like Zarin, at what stage should I be if I'm in yellow Maps or yeah, just questions like that, like where should I be when, and honestly, it's just a budget question, which is obviously hard as a new player, but there's no magic number. It's just here we have bad gear, here we have medium gear, here we have expensive gear. Ideally, you want the expensive stuff, but you won't be able to afford it. So, if you're able to afford everything here in the mid-game, that's good, and then you start picking one item to go for at a time that you start progressing towards. Now, you can use this as well to import your own build, so you just write your own account name, not character name, your own account name here, click Start, and boom, you are now looking through any league, and then you can look through them and um, import them. There, it is usually also good to like click new before importing anything.

so nothing gets left over from the last one. Another thing I really want to cover is how do you look at things like damage, and how do you look at defenses. And honestly, this stat gets shown to me a lot. Sometimes it'll be like, Look, I have 1.2 million HP. This stat, honestly, and I have talked to Path of Building about it, it is a little bit useless, it is a little bit misleading. If you know how it's calculated and how it works, it can be beneficial. The reason it's high in this build is because, well, I effectively have 90% block. So when I'm taking a large amount of damage and the hits that it's calculating is when I am taking very many small hits. And if you see here, that is what's being calculated. I'm basically immortal, I am probably never going to die to small hits. And a lot of these things, including the first max hit, is calculated assuming that it's a very small hit. So if I go ahead now and change enemy skill physical damage to

even 10,000. You can see that my effective hit pull. Sorry, I wasn't sure if I had 10,000 there. So even at 10,000 per hit, my effective hit pull goes down to 320. And if it's like a big hit, like I think Uber shap or something is 30k, you see it's 169. Now, if it's a 30k fiz hit, let's look at the calculations to see what does that actually do to our character. So here in damaging hits, we can now see that this is doing 10,000 damage. I have 5.8k life hits before death. 0.5 I die, even though here in the effective hit pool, it says hits before for death 4.5. So effectively pull not very beneficial 'cause I would still be dead. So don't put too much stock in this stat. Generally, the main things I look at is fist Max hits um fire Max hit Etc. And then using this that I showed you now is actually a really, really good thing to try to.

calculate how much you can tank, and this is what we do for users and stuff like that. To give an example, right now, this is a pretty medium budget, not a super tanky build at this stage. So let's, for example, we'll give an example of a shaper slam. Now, personally, I like setting enemy skill roll range to 100% and crit to 100%, and getting used to this will really drive home the value of crit immunity. So right now, I can see that I cannot tank a max hit roll with nothing up, and then you can start playing around with, well, what do I need to do to survive it? So just a Jade fusk is not enough, but maybe molten shell will make it enough to survive, and it is. So I can tank a max world crit shaper slam with a molten shell, and most hits will not be a max world crit, right? So we could probably tank two hits, no problem, but you always want to count for worst-case scenario. And this brings me to another point, a lot of builds are padded.

with molten shell being enabled, molten shell is not always going to be up. You generally want to look at your tank without it, and there will be a lot of Po Warriors that add a lot of custom modifiers. As I mentioned, these were added before the Po was updated, but this has now been added with heavy blocked recently. So what we can do is we can actually remove this. Now, there is no need to have those anymore, and now the only thing we have is simulating 30 seconds of War of Attrition, which I'm probably going to be in most boss fights more than 30 seconds early on in the league. So now I click have you blocked recently, and now we actually have the lucky block built in. So always be a little bit wary of people ticking things that shouldn't be on very often. People have flasks on all the time, etc. I generally try to only take things that I know are going to be up, although I saw somebody criticize me on Pride or a maximum effect.

happens pretty fast so for anything I care about the damage. Like on a boss, that's fine. Um, on this PO, I will not probably have frenzy charges ticked because I don't have a way of generating frenzy charges for a boss, and we only care about my boss damage because realistically in Path of Exile, the way it is right now, your mapping damage is probably fine. And the only thing that is ever going to be lacking is, well, yeah, your single target unless it is a specific mapper. But keep that in mind a little bit. It's a bit of a good rule of thumb. If you are comparing two builds that are the same, you really need to make sure the configuration is matched, or it's going to be massively different. Um, if we look at the damage here, if we spectral Shield throw, we're now looking at the bleed. Look, even at the difference between pride and Max effect and initial effect, it's like 20-30%, so it's quite large. And this is like very early gear.

so everything doesn't matter as much here, but especially later. If you're ever like a super end game build that has like 10 to 20 million damage, you'll notice that something like this could be 40% of your damage. It just really adds up later, and that is a thing that is just very important in Path of Exile. Now, another thing that happens a lot is that people will be following a build of a content creator, and they will see that the content creator is doing extremely well. They will feel like they have the same stuff, but they will not be having the same experience. And that's because maybe they have one stat or two stats, and the content creators have three or four. And Path of Exile really is a game where things add up. Like small things add up, so getting like 30 strength here, 40 strength there, 30 DPS here, like it really adds up. Potions are important, and yeah, just every little thing. So it is a very overwhelming game when you're a new player, but at least hopefully this video

helps you explain how PoE works. A little bit another thing that's extremely important is the note section. So if you see here in all our builds, and obviously we will have even more information in the guides that have a maxr component, but in every PoE we try to have at least some things answered in the notes. These are things that we think new players might run into as problems and yeah, this is our way to try to help mitigate that. I don't really want to have 30-40 minute videos where I go over every bad thing, but these are like the main things. So for items in ble building, you can actually like select things and copy paste them, and this is a really cool feature because it actually is not a third-party feature in Path of Exile. It is just Path of Exile itself. You can hover over an item and contrl c, and if you open notepad, you'll see that you'll actually have those copy pasted, and you can paste it into things like Path of Building or Craft of Exile. So if I open

up notepad here boom. I now have all the information in these boots. So, this is a really good feature and you can just make any item you want here clicking on Craft item, etc. You just select everything. You'll have different influences you can pick from, different crafts you can pick from. You have access to everything in the game and you can really plan out everything for anoints and stuff like that. If I now click include in full DPS and then I click on items anoint search by full DPS, this will now calculate what anoint will make the most damage for my build. So, apparently that's tenacity for this. Now, if we look at hatched Master, what I have anointed there are obviously other benefits than just total World damage. We see this node is 440,000. The other one most likely worse. So, we already have the best one, but do remember there can be other added benefits like, for example, this node gives us Onslaught as well. So, it is a very strong node. So, I hope this
