hello everybody. Today is May 31st, 20:28:18 p.m. I am in Long Island City's Gantry State Park. Across the river is Manhattan, and I just filmed a glorious sunset, the Manhattanhenge sunset. I'll be posting that video shortly, either tonight or tomorrow, but let me tell you, it is beautiful. Even though today wasn't the actual full date of Manhattanhenge, that was yesterday and the day before it, it was still only one day apart, so the view is still incredible. Even though it's not the actual day, you don't need to be to have an incredible view like this, and I also didn't have to contend with all the crowds either. But today would have been the better day to ride my bicycle into the sunset, not yesterday. Yesterday, I was unfortunate enough to do the Manhattanhenge sunset and then have the view blocked by clouds, and the same thing happened on 34th Street. However, I was looking on Instagram; 14th Street had a good view of Manhattanhenge, but 42nd Street and 34th Street did not.

so I just had my bad luck there. So I'm gonna go and walk by this waterfront now because now the sunset is pretty much finished. We'll stay in Long Island City and show you some skyline action and also test out this new phone, the iPhone SE second-generation live walks. So the sunset right over there in between the Chrysler Building and the left side of 42nd Street. Yes, be Griff, and this is my new iPhone, the iPhone SE second-generation. As far as the riots go, I'm not in that area where they were. The riots that happened more in downtown Manhattan and

downtown Brooklyn. I haven't run into any rioting myself. I'm trying to stay clear of the area because I don't want to get into any trouble or, you know, show any kind of violence, which is, you know, not really something I'd like to show. Talks with two bucks saying, Hey, have I run into rioting in New York City? Well, I just answered that, but thank you for the two bucks. I mean, I do know some people who have gone down to like Soho and downtown Brooklyn this morning, and it was pretty quiet from what I heard. You just see something like the aftermath of what happened, like broken glass and some, you know, torched vehicles, but that's not really something I like to show. It's really sad to see and hear about, to be honest. Oh yeah, protests, riots, it's all like something, you know, that shows that stuff is wrong in society and people are unhappy. So that's why people are upset. They want to voice their opinions, and they want to take it out onto the

streets hard Corey. There is no curfew in New York City. Let's go to Hunter's Point South Park, and then I think I'll walk over to the Vernon Boulevard section of Long Island City and also the Court Square area. I think that's a pretty good route for tonight in America. Three saying not much social distancing in New York. Well, I guess that really depends on where you go in New York City. It's kind of enforced in different places in different ways. It's more really inside businesses and indoors, not really so much outside. I haven't really seen the cops really given any like fines or enforce it really too much outside, but inside businesses, the business owners will limit the amount of customers indoors, and that's where I see more of the social distancing requirements. But then again, you know, with all these protests going on slash riots out on the streets, you have like hundreds of people next to each other, so there really isn't any social distancing there. And I even see, you know, videos throughout the world and people are

doing this same exact behaviors around the world. There's not really too much social distancing outdoors, but it is a strange time we live in, folks. Aqua vision for ten bucks, good stream, and thanks for always keeping positive. Yes, thank you, Aqua vision, for that. I always think it's a good thing to keep a positive message despite what's going on in the world, but thank you so much for that. And I know probably some of you have noticed this bandage on my hand right here. I injured my finger because of my bike locks the other day. They were too heavy on my bike, and it fell over to one side. All the weight fell on one finger, and I injured it. So, that's more of a reason why I shouldn't be traveling too far like today or for the next few days. Yep, the bike locks did hurt me. I 360 saying it's your birthday today. Happy birthday, my man. The one I'm streaming on right now is Verizon, but my main phone is T-Mobile. Where the Canada geese? Let's look, let's look in the water, see if we can find. We got some lavender flowers here, really lovely. Let's put the phone inside the lavender. This might give like a different perspective. Whoa, yeah, iPhone SE's got a great camera, that's for sure. Pretty. I actually like it better than my old iPhone 8 Plus. It's smaller, it's more compact, the chipset is faster, so hopefully we can get some better live.

I don't really hear it as much anymore, especially in the neighborhoods which like don't really have a strong hospital presence, and I think people are a little bit tired of it to be honest because we've been ready on pause mole for like three months now, doing it every single day for three months. I can see why people will get tired of it, and Plus, you know, the cases are declining every day, and I think people just want their lives to be normal [Music]. So we got a nice match-up there.

let's walk by the Long Island Railroad station so my fees been going in and out. That's a little bit strange and surprising really. They're building residential units across the street from me. All right, Long Island Railroad station, let's check it out. This is the last stop in Long Island for the Long Island Railroad, at least on the western side, the western end I should say. Called the Long Island Railroad because it runs on Long Island. David Clippers saying I still got Aquafina. Well, I know she's a famous, you know, actor who played in Crazy Rich Asians. As she did the voice of the seven train, but she's not on the seven train anymore. You know, I kind of have a feeling that I saw Aquafina in this live chat one day, but it may have just been going so fast I didn't know to recognize her. But she may be even watching this live machine right now. This building here is the ventilation building for the Queens Midtown Tunnel. That's the vehicle tunnel which goes between Long Island City, Queens, and

Midtown, there we got the sign Long Island Railroad station to the right, so let's go there. So if any of you are curious what of ventilation bills, it's just a building with a lot of fans in it because if they didn't have this building here pumping fresh air into the tunnel underneath, you won't be able to breathe traveling through the tunnel, and that won't be a good thing, right? Can you imagine going through a tunnel, driving through it, and then you like pass out in the middle because there's no air? Well, here's the Long Island Railroad station, but it's closed right now. The video keeps crashing, that's so strange. I mean, if it seems like it's streaming well on my end, but maybe you two's acting up again. And here's the front of the building over here, Joey. I'm using the iPhone SE second-generation, so Vernon Bolivars not too far away from here. Gonna make our left on there and show you Long Island City's um busiest street.

I think there is a scheduled set number of trains which leave every weekday, and then the station is no longer in use for the rest of the day. Yeah, I think it is weekdays and rush hour set. The station is open for commuters. How far is Long Island to Manhattan? I would say now maybe 45 minutes driving if you were to count Nassau Long Island as the western boundary, but that's probably a better question for an app like Google Maps. [Music] It's a very confusing terminology when you mention Long Island because Long Island can refer to the actual island mass itself or can refer to the counties of Nassau and Suffolk, so that's a little bit different. I'm approaching the first subway station in Queens on the number seven train, and hopefully the rebroadcast—oh, the replay, whoops—benefits many people who are having troubles with the screens tonight. I don't know what it is, but I hope it gets better. Okay, so here is a combination store, cellphone accessories, and grocery store. Seems a little bit bare-bones already, or maybe it's a new store. They're probably just restocking it and getting it prepped. Here's the subway station I was mentioning earlier. If you want to go to Manhattan, that's on the other side of the street. You need to cross over there. Many of the subways are like that in New York. In order to go uptown or downtown, you need to go to the other side of the street. All right, let's go. When I went by this area earlier, there

weren't too many stores open, but things are slowly opening up now. This store I know is open, but they have certain hours now, and you need to wear facemasks. I think Cuomo, Governor Cuomo, signed some legislation that you need to wear facemasks going into businesses now, so that's a new thing that people need to do now. And if you don't have face masks, they sold them here because they got the sign there. They have them in stock. Here's a sweet shop. They're open for pickup only. Ice cream, milk tea, fruit tea, no breakfast saying you have to have a facemask to go in and buy a facemask. Well, there's a solution to that. You can knock on the door or call the business, say, Hey, I need some face masks, drop them off outside. This one's even got a graphic, the facemask emoji, before entering. And here we have a business that I've seen long lines to get in. John Tyree, where 10 bucks have I ever recorded on the World Trade Center.

Memorial where a world you on that day. It's a good question or two great questions. Okay, first one. I have been down there at this time, but it's closed. They closed off that entire Memorial section because they don't want people crowding and going to the memorial site. That goes for most of the other tourist attractions around the city, including Rockefeller Center. That's closed off too. But on 9/11, the actual day, 2001, I was in my freshman high school class, and they announced over the PA system that if they knew, if any students knew anybody who worked in the World Trade Center area, to come down to the office. They close at seven o'clock at night, so it's already past hours. But I'm sure that even though the business is closed right now, they're still working on repairing bikes. By the way, fruit-stand market here and vegetable market if you want to buy stuff that's available. I did see a picture of a Chinatown fruit vendor and vegetable vendor burned to the ground, so it's very unfortunate that a Chinatown fruit and vegetable stand was targeted during the protests or riots late last night. But I do what wish for a more peaceful world and for the violence to end. Yeah, D tuk, I was surprised as well when I saw that. I was like, wow, why they have to involve Chinatown in America. 3 says I need to fix my bike. I do the clicking sound in my videos is really annoying even though

It doesn't affect the performance, but it bothers me when I hear the video. I 360, the clicking is coming from the crank someplace. Actually, when I bought the bike, the bicycle tech told me that he actually couldn't figure out what the clicking was coming from. I couldn't fix it, but he did tell me that it shouldn't affect the performance of the bike. But it's still annoying to have that sound all the time. 2020 in this description or iPhone SC 2nd gen sometimes a little bit confusing that Apple renames their products the same thing even though it's an updated model like how many versions of the iPad Mini have they had so I'm gonna go over this way now towards the Citibank building. I'm walking into the industrial part of Long Island City now. So Long Island City used to be a very industrial neighborhood, all factories, all off like warehouses and Industry. You can even see an old sign up there as a reference to Long Island City's past. He got there the able steel equipment. How many years ago do you think this company was here? I don't even know, but it's changed so much. I kind of like to explore like the parts of the neighborhood that aren't around anymore because you know things always change. You never really know what's going to happen in the future just like what's happening now with the protests and COVID-19. A lot of things that we took for granted over the years like the

crowds and the lack of worrying about going outside without a mask. We took that all for granted, and now it's completely different. This is building 10, so 27. Got some nice roses, and here we have a vacant lot with a wall of graffiti outside. This is the Long Island City of Asia's ago. Another building across the street, warehouse. This one's available for lease, 20,000 square feet. Although a little bit dark, you probably can't see it that well on camera. I've made it to 11th Street and 45th Road. Here's a new residential building going up. Probably before this went up, it was a huge building, and now it's being repurposed into something else. Rob Early saying the able steel places from 1981. Wow, that's very old, over 30 years old. Let's go on this side of the street. I don't like to walk on areas where there's a lot of construction. Let's walk on the area where the park is. These are what the old factories

and warehouses are being turned into now gigantic residential units. James saying the apartment rent there is $500 per month. I wish it was $500 per month. I think now it'd be very affordable for this area. John's hire you at 5 bucks saying have you ever seen any major production. No, have you ever seen any major production filming in New York City. I do sometimes. I think one time I saw a Spider Man being filmed somewhere and I saw the person in the spider-man suit and they had all the movie trucks out and wires hooked up the Spider Man. She's so elegant speaking unpleasant. I met her a few times. She's a very nice youtuber, makes a lot of great New York City guides, also has her own business doing tours of New York. But yeah, I do plan to meet up with

her once everything gets settled down. She's around this area pretty often. I know a lot of people are expressing concerns about my safety now and being out late, but the truth of the matter is you do have to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Make sure you're aware of what's going on, and you have to deal with each situation appropriately. That's all. It doesn't matter who it is who approaches you. You got it. Make sure that you deal with the situation. One of the best YouTube channels that I found is Active Self-Protection, and I love that channel because the hosts there review real-life scenarios about what to do when strangers approach you and different situations about how to carry your weapons appropriately, about reaction time, what to do in each situation, and they do an excellent job of showcasing what to do. It is a very good channel. The number one thing to have is called situational awareness, and if you can't, if someone does approach it, you don't know, the next best thing to do is to gain distance on

the person because if you're further away from a person that you feel like you're being threatened from, the greater your chances of surviving because you have more time over the other person. Here's another building that's going up, this one is eyeball glass, but now we're approaching the Court Square area of Long Island City. We're approaching a few restaurants here. Now here's a fine Italian restaurant called LLL Falco. There's also a Peruvian restaurant around the corner which is really good. This is right underneath the Court Square subway station on the number seven line. It's an upscale Italian restaurant. Oh wow, look at this. No Falco is closed, but you can still place online orders. I 360 and be Griffin, you're saying I should start at this port. I did start at this port already. I think it's under action kid, the name, but I haven't really played much with it, any other than much more than that. I just created the name, but I don't really know too much about discord to be honest. The Peruvian restaurant is down there.

Yeah, it is kind of strange to be going into an area where there's a lot of office workers and activity during the nighttime when there's not too much. It's kind of like going into the Wall Street area and financial district at this time. Across the street, we have to court Square. This is the CUNY law building, the CUNY law school. It's a college for studying, you know, law areas and things of that nature. And if any of you have played Grand Theft Auto 4, this is the LC building. Getting windy here. Sometimes I do notice some wind here and some breezes. I think it just has to do with the design of the area, their streets coming in different angles. So, banjo - - - at 499. Keep it up, you're

I'll show you Jackson Avenue as well as some of the newer skyscrapers going off, including Jackson Park, which was supposed to have a full court constructed and completed in the spring of 2020. But we all know that spring of 2020 is almost at an end, so maybe we can get a look at how it looks like right now. The extreme elements times out for all caps, too many symbols, and too many emojis. I also want to check out this area of Jackson Avenue because there's a few restaurants here I would like to know if they're still open, including the C on fast-food restaurant. That C on restaurant actually burned up in a huge fire that was on the news. And the other thing with stream elements too, when it does do a time out, it doesn't time you out for very long, maybe like 30 seconds or so. There we got

Starbucks across the shape book culture LIC, which is one of the few physical bookshops still open. Console axis pickup is available, and they can ship directly. Okay, so this building is on their retail space for lease. Alright, folks, so Chipotle Mexican Grill is open. I know Chipotle's been doing very well now during the pandemic. They do a lot of deliveries and pick up, and also Palms Gourmet Market, which is a luxury delicatessen. Bookish for schools saying ship. Oh please, gross. We have another competitor in New York City. It's called Dos Toros. Many people here prefer Dos Toros over Chipotle. And here's the Chinese restaurant which burned up in a blaze that was on that, which was on the news. See on fast foods, let's see how they're doing, and they're doing if they're doing reconstruction. Yeah, a lot of vacate orders and whatnot. Look at this evidence, active fire scene investigation, insurance claims, you know, because that's an issue now. You may think that your building burned down.

because of protests and rioting. But what if it wasn't? What if it was arson? You know, so if they take a peek inside, see what's going on, does not look like the restaurant anymore. There used to be a counter over there, and you can order food, and also stairs going upstairs, but all it is is just construction materials now. And I don't think that the restaurant even wants to reopen right now and in these conditions. I think right now is a very challenging time to open a restaurant because you have to deal with all these new rules that are not really like settled yet and decided on how to manage. do you think this thing is it's pretty crazy. It's a public piece of art, that's what it is, but it's definitely very strange. Look at that, his feet are bigger than his body. If it even is a he, maybe it's a she, maybe it's some kind of abomination. I don't know, but let's see. It's called sunbather, cast bronze and auto body paints. This is a sunbather. What? Oh my goodness. I think this folks has been down on the sun way too long, way too long. Where's the hand? Let's find out. Looks like it's crossed over each other like in strange ways. I didn't walk by there though, but that area was famous for having a tall building there, and many artists would write all their names and designs and street art all over that building. And there was a big lawsuit that happened because the developers of the building painted over it, and it got fought in court. And ultimately, the court decided that the artists were on the right, and they were eligible to be compensated. But now the Five Points neighborhood is no more if the building got knocked down. [Music] is the Adult Learning Center, New York City Department of Ed Building. I think people really want to get me copyright strike today. I'm hearing a lot of music, whether it's from people's cars or from radios. All right, folks, so I have here one of the newest skyscrapers in Long Island City. The Jackson is already topped out. I think this building here is the tallest building in Long Island City now. Before, it used to be the Citibank building, which was a... It's this one over here, actually.

I'm not even sure if that is it, if I can see it from here, but that might be it over there. Kind of hard to tell. Be better if it's daytime. And also, you have the Jack X over here. There's a food court here, and it says it's coming spring 2020, but oh my goodness, I don't know. I don't know about that. Here's the Jack X building, your 9 to 5 reimagined. There's an epic food haul coming your way, but it's probably gonna be very different now. I don't think these developers ever imagined that they'll be opening at a time of COVID-19. Here, there's like three main streets that intersect each other: Jackson Avenue, Northern Boulevard, and Queens Boulevard. There's usually a lot of traffic here, and even across the bridge, they are the other side, Skillman Avenue, and Queens

The traffic is picking up ever so slightly every day. What in the world, holy moly, what happened here? Why is this car in the middle there with the in the media with the rocks? Whoa, oh my goodness, they must have like thought he can make a left there or speeding or something. The one, the one is a lot of traffic. Wow, whoa, yeah, well only one car here. You know that is the first thing that I've noticed coming by here. Queensboro Plaza sometimes has a dead spot around this area, especially for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. I haven't really noticed it too much with Verizon, but I hope that it doesn't buffer too much anymore. I think yo-yo so is a other Japanese or Chinese discount brand. Their clothes starting March 23rd, but you can get some interesting stuff here. [Music] Let's go up through this Queensboro Plaza station, and I think I'll end the stream there. Yeah, you can cross the street with the subway station here. I'm going to show you just that. This is something you can

do if you don't feel comfortable crossing the street here. There's this very daunting and intimidating, but you do have to get some exercise in here. So many stairs, especially if you're trying to take the train. [Music] Long Island City's streets, they are very wide and full of traffic sometimes. So you can go this way to cross the street, go over here. Now we're on Queens Plaza North, and you know it's so cool to watch this. Because they need it for people to cross the street, that's why. Look, this goes all the way through. Someone asks why you need a crosswalk upas for the people who don't want to climb the stairs. You can cross the street this way. I'll show you the difference between crossing the street and also using the overpass. See, you gotta watch out for the bikes. This is the main issue here. Look left and right. They're supposed to yield to you, but not all the times they do. And then you gotta wait for this light here. You gotta look for the cars that way, and you gotta look for two more lanes of traffic to the right after you cross. So, this is not really a nice street to be crossing. Always make sure you wait for the light, and even if you do have the light, make sure that there's no traffic coming. All right, I'm walking at a decent pace now, but sometimes they don't even give you enough time to cross the street for

all the lights you see. It's already counting down, and I don't even like make it three-quarters of the way across already. Look at this. I'm walking my normal speed. I've already got less than 10 seconds now, and I didn't even cross the street. Test DC with ten bucks. Thank you. Thing is so much. Test DC. Appreciate it. Now I'm going to show you the other way to cross the street, which is over there, but gotta wait for this. They expect you to be Usain Bolt. So this is the other way to cross the street, which is not really a good way. I gonna tell you. Wait, which way was it? No, this is still similar to the other way. I've got to go another way, another block up. I think this was the more dangerous one. Yes, one more block up. This is still

similar to the other way to cross the street, but after I cross the street, I'm going to end the stream because it's already getting a little bit late. Looks like the N train is coming into the station here. Hey, look, they have a flare out now for that vehicle that crashed. This is the same process when I got across, so watch this.
