What's up everyone? It's October 9th, 2021, Saturday night, 8 p.m., and it's 64 Fahrenheit, 18 Celsius. I'm on my way to meet New York Life vlog right now. He's doing a live stream, and I have a present to give him. So, uh, I see right now he's at the Flat Iron Districts, and wherever I am in Manhattan, I got to get him. So, we pre-arranged this beforehand, so he's okay with me meeting up and giving him the present. I'm using my GoTrax GMAX Ultra scooter. It does have squeaky disc brakes, but it's working fine. The brakes work really well on this scooter. It's a little bit windy. I'm wearing a light jacket with me. I do have to go over a bridge to get over to Manhattan. This is the Crescent Street bike lane in Astoria, Queens. Works pretty well, although there are a little bit of blind corners that you have to deal with from time to time.

this is Broadway, one of Astoria's most happening streets for nightlife. Lots of restaurants lined the street all the way up to Woodside. Woodside is the next neighborhood over, so this person should really be using a headlight or at least wear a reflective vest. I have a reflective vest on me. It makes it a little bit tricky to pass sometimes. Oh, oh, running against the lights. I mean, I gave myself plenty of time there. I had the brakes to do it, but they should not be doing that. I remember before this bike lane was here, this was a pretty crazy street to ride on. Very busy [Music] and many cyclists took it because it's the most direct way to get to Manhattan from this part of Queens. I like this cyclist. Two headlights, also bright blue wheels. So, I just felt a little bit of water. Hopefully, I don't get caught in some rain. He had this guy trying to cross in the middle of the street. I think we should be pretty good on this bridge. Always very noisy on this bridge. Wow, this

woman is carrying a lot of bags with a scooter. It's one of the main disadvantages of these e-scooters is that there's not really too much space for carrying stuff. You just have to carry it all on your person. With bicycles, at least you could put a rack, you have a front pouch. This one, the most you could do is have a little front pouch and hang something off the handle. That's about it. Manhattan looks so pretty at night time. The views are much better from the southern outer roadway. We're on the northern outer roadway. Eventually, when that other side of the bridge opens up to pedestrians, I'd like to walk across it and make a video. [Music] So smooth sailing into Manhattan. It's drizzling a little bit, but nothing that'll stop the progress. Here's where I want to slow up a little bit. It's a dark descent and kind of narrow. Doesn't seem to be anybody in this lane until we get to here. This person is, oh wow.

this is open now. Didn't used to be open. That makes it more convenient to get to the east side or the west side rather. Well, this is the east side but heading west. Um, I'm looking at New York Life's vlogs, uh, live stream right now. I have a feeling he's around Koreatown somewhere because I see a matcha store. This place is pretty busy. This over here is 60th Street. There's a lot of French restaurants around here. All right, so this over here is Lexington Avenue. [Music] Probably be better for me to get over to Fifth Avenue at this time of night. I don't think there should be too much traffic on Fifth Avenue. It's a commercial street and many of the, uh, big box retail stores are closed. Squeaky brakes. All right, let's see where he is. I'm actually not sure where it is. That's too fast. All right, I gotta put in slowing down. Not even 1K, but not even 1K watching me, but everybody.

tonight, so really acting awesome. I have a feeling that is, huh, Broadway, 29th streets. All right, let's take Fifth Avenue down here. That's on the west Korea, I think, town pretty safe. That if I take this down to Koreatown, I should be okay. Hello, buddies. That's a busy street, so that must be either Broadway or Fifth Avenue, either one of them. They're close by to each other. [Music] They're comfortable. All these French restaurants are pretty busy. All right, I think that's 30th Street now. Dressings up. Everybody's dressing up. You know what? I'm pretty sure that's Broadway and 30th Street. So if I take Fifth Avenue down to the 30s, that's probably our best bet. All right, let's see how quickly I can get from 60th Street down to 30th Street on this scooter down Fifth Avenue. Bus lane doesn't really seem to be too busy. Apple Store is open 24 hours. The lines died down a lot since the

iphone 13 launch. Yeah, I think he's going to be going to Koreatown soon. [Music] So maybe I'll make a right on 34th or 33rd and come around. [Music] So a lot of the stores are closed, but there's still a good amount of traffic here. A lot of cars emerging to make right turns too. All right, this bus is stopping for this passenger. [Music] Yeah, that's definitely the start of Koreatown now. I have about 20 more blocks to go. Oh wow, that person almost got run over. Two people as a matter of fact. There's Rockefeller Center. Want to avoid these metal plates. They can get very slippery and you don't know how even the surface is. There's the Empire State Building lit up in red, white, and blue colors of the American flag. 42nd Street, almost there already. Actually, I could probably stay on Fifth Avenue because he's almost about to exit Koreatown. So let's be careful here. This bus driver made or these two bus drivers.

[Music] kind of busy here. All right, Empire State Building is the next block after this one, 35th Street, then 34th. All right, he's walking back towards Broadway now. No wait, that's the end of 32nd Street near Fifth Avenue. I notice it. [Applause] I saw that. That's why I slowed up between the two buses. It's always that chance that someone might squeeze through. It sounds like that ambulance is making a lot of noise but not really getting anywhere quickly. And there he is, the New York Life vlog. Hey, what's up? Let's pull over here. I know the famous people. Yeah, I have your video on the thing. I think I see here. You're like coming out of Career Tower, everything right there. Yeah, right there. I see me. Yeah, awesome. Yeah, so I have your present for you. I have a battery charger and a flashlight. Yeah, thank you. Yeah, it can give me a present tonight. Yeah, because the flashlight is very good. It has to be a big surprise. Yeah.

thank you so much. No problem, man. So, uh, what are you gonna do? Oh, I'm gonna probably head back to Queens now. Yeah, yeah, this is enough. I'm recording like this. Yeah, it's so easy. I told him I was gonna come, so oh my god, what people say. Yeah, it's a real-life presence. This is a real life for real. All right, I'm going to go back home, so no live stream for me tonight. All right here not do a live stream, but he got record right here, record it, keep recording now, and then after that in the morning tomorrow. No, maybe not tomorrow, maybe this week.
