THE RAIN FALLING IN THE CITY. 76 DEGREES. THE WINDS GUSTING UP TO 39 IN THE CITY. BUT I WANT TO BRING UP THAT THERE'S BEEN TORNADOS AS WELL. IN SOUTHERN JERSEY, A TORNADO MEASURED A GUST OF 109 MILES PER HOUR. AND ON LAND, THERE WAS ALSO A GUST OF 70 MILES PER HOUR. SO THIS GIVES YOU THE IDEA THAT WINDS ARE GOING TO BE A BIG PLAYER IN THE EVENT, DESPITE THE FACT IT WON'T LAST LONG. HEAVY RAINFALL TO A 1.5 INCHES.

THESE ARE CITY POINTS EAST. WEST OF THE CITY, UP TO SIX INCHES. FLASH FLOODING IS A POSSIBILITY. AND WINDS GUSTING 40 TO 60 MILES PER HOUR. POSSIBLY AS HIGH AS 70. AS MENTIONED, WITH ANY TORNADOS, WHICH IS STILL POSSIBLE, WE COULD SEE WINDS EVEN HIGHER THAN THAT. AND HIGH SURF SIX TO TEN FEET. WE'RE JUST NOW STARTING TO SEE THE SEAS CHURN UP AS THE CENTER OF THE STORM IS CLOSER. STRONG RIP CURRENTS EXPECTED TODAY AND TOMORROW AS WELL. COASTAL FLOODING BECOMES A CONCERN. MINOR TO MODERATE INTO THE EVENING HOURS. AND RAINFALL RIGHT NOW HEAVIEST FOR THE NORTHWESTERN QUADRANT OF NEW JERSEY. AND HERE IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE.

HOUR BY HOUR. 2:30, STILL DEALING WITH A SIMILAR SETUP. HEAVIEST RAIN WEST OF THE CITY. AS WE MAKE OUR WAY TO SUNSET, RAIN IS PULLING OUT. THE BRUNT OF THE RAIN IS GONE EARLY. THE WINDS WILL TAKE A LITTLE BIT LONGER TO SETTLE. THESE ARE THE CURRENT WIND GUSTS. NOTICE A 59 MILE AN HOUR GUST IN BRICK. 37 MILE AN HOUR GUST IN BABYLON. AND THEY'RE PICKING UP ACROSS THE BOARD. BETWEEN 2:00 AND 4:00 THIS AFTERNOON LIKELY THE STRONGEST WINDS. GUSTING 40, 50, 60 MILES PER HOUR AROUND 2:00. AND IN THE LATTER PART OF THE AFTERNOON, THEY CONTINUE TO CRANK. IT'S NOT UNTIL WE APPROACH

SUNSET. THE WINDS SETTLE AND STRONG. POWER PROBLEMS, EXPECT THEM. TREES AND POWER LINES COMING UP. AND COASTING FLOODING IS A CONCERN.
