THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CONSIDERS 44 TO BE THE NORM FOR THIS DAY OF THE YEAR. SO WE WERE STILL ABOVE WHERE WE SHOULD BE. HUGE DROP IN TEMPERATURES FOR TOMORROW. WHEN YOU FACTOR IN THESE SIGNIFICANT WINDS, IT WILL FEEL MUCH, MUCH COLDER ON MONDAY THAN IT DID TODAY. AND TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE

TO FALL FOR TUESDAY. RIGHT NOW, WE ARE LOOKING AT YOUR VORTEX SATELLITE AND RADAR. NOT A WHOLE LOT TO TALK ABOUT. WE HAVE THE CLOUDS, BUT AS FAR AS SIGNIFICANT MOISTURE, NOT MUCH OF IT. BUT YOU WILL NOTICE THERE IS STILL A LITTLE BIT LURKING IN THE AREA. SO WE ARE NOT COMPLETELY DONE. WE TURN ON THE FUTURECAST THIS EVENING. YOU WILL SEE A COUPLE OF THINGS. SO WE WILL SEE A CHANCE FOR SOME SHOWERS TO PUSH THROUGH PORTIONS OF THE AREA, MOST OF IT RAIN, COULD SEE SOME FLURRIES THOUGH, A LITTLE BIT OF MIXED PRECIPITATION. SO THAT IS GOING TO BE A POSSIBILITY TONIGHT. BUT THEN AGAIN, AS WE HEAD THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING. SO JUST BE MINDFUL OF THAT.

COULD STILL SEE A FEW FLAKES OR DROPS. BUT THE WINDS ARE THE BIGGER STORY, STARTING WITH THESE WIND GUSTS. THESE ARE THE FUTURE GUSTS, 43-MILE-AN-HOUR WIND GUSTS IN THE CITY. THIS IS AT MIDNIGHT, BUT IT GETS WORSE. TAKE A LOOK. THIS IS 6:30 MONDAY MORNING, 48-MILE-AN-HOUR GUSTS. THEN WE GET INTO THE 50s AS WE HEAD INTO YOUR MONDAY AFTERNOON. AND THAT IS WHY WE DO HAVE THESE WIND ALERTS THAT ARE IN EFFECT. THEY FINALLY START TO DIE DOWN A BIT, BUT HIGH WIND WARNINGS IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE TRI-STATE AREA UNTIL 7:00 TOMORROW. WE COULD SEE GUSTS 55 TO 65 MILES PER HOUR.

SO DOWN TREES AND POWERLINES ARE DEFINITELY A POSSIBILITY, AND OF COURSE, THAT MAKES FOR VERY DIFFICULT TRAVEL. FALLING TEMPERATURES TONIGHT, MUCH COLDER TOMORROW. ONLY 39 DEGREES. BUT WHEN YOU FACTOR IN THOSE HIGH WINDS, IT WILL FEEL MUCH COLDER. AND THEN LOOK AT THESE NUMBERS, LOTS OF THREES. 39, 36, 34. SO IT'S GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT CHILLY AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND. OF COURSE, WE WILL HAVE A COUPLE OF CHANCES FOR ADDITIONAL SNOW SHOWERS AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE WEEK. SO DEFINITELY A WINTRY WEEK.
