I also had additional math, so I had computer science as well. But I never attended coaching in my life. For a span of six months, I consistently studied for 12 hours every day. Believe in yourself! So, when the results for the 10th grade came out, I scored 95 marks. My parents asked me which stream I wanted to take, like they were so chill about it, saying that I could do whatever I wanted. I also had Additional Maths because my dad said, If you don't make it in NEET, you can become a Maths teacher. I don't know what his obsession with becoming a Maths teacher was, because he himself wanted to be a Maths teacher, and I also did this.

Decide that I do not want to take coaching because, like, I have never taken coaching in my life. I have never taken coaching in school either. I thought I would study on my own, and if it works out, great; if not, that's fine too. Classes will start, and what I used to do in school was come home and watch YouTube videos alongside. I made notes on those videos and did every question that was there.

In 11th grade, we went to school, and in 12th grade, the lockdown happened. At the beginning of 12th grade, I became a little serious about NEET. So, what I did was, since I had already studied the theory for the 11th-grade exams, I started solving the previous year's NEET questions. I used to solve those, and then in 12th grade, I went back to focusing on my theory; I was studying theory at the start of 12th grade.

The batch of Physics Wala had come, the Lakshya batch. They had completed the entire Physics syllabus for 12th grade. I had taken their notes, but my mistake was that I didn't solve any questions at all. During class, the teacher would ask us to solve questions while posing them, and I would just do that. Obviously, you will manage to do that. Now, if you are studying like this and also solving the questions, then obviously...

At the moment, you remember it, so the question will definitely come up. But if you are doing the same thing two days later, it will have disappeared from your mind. The purpose of watching video lectures is that you feel like you understand it at that time, but if you don't revise it from the book again, you will forget it. My approach was the reason I scored very well in 11th and 12th grade. In 11th grade, most students tend to struggle.

In that, I was scoring less than 500. I went to submit my paper, and I was doing fine, but my physics did not go well, and I left quite a few questions unanswered, which is obvious because I hadn't practiced the questions. So, I got 464 marks after solving one question paper. But I kept checking all the counseling rounds to see if maybe I could get a college. I don't know why I thought maybe I could get a college.

If I get this many marks, then I thought that I would also get a good course, like Government BDS, and I would take that too because I didn't want to read those books again. I had 464 marks, but I studied a lot. As I mentioned, I read the NCERT books several times and attended lectures, so my concepts were strong. Therefore, I didn't want to read those books.

मैंने क्या किया कि मैंने 21 फरवरी से ठीक है। 21 फरवरी से मैंने तैयारी करनी शुरू की। 21 फरवरी 2022 से, मैंने थोड़ा सा पढ़कर फिर से देखने का सोचा ताकि मुझे यह अफसोस न हो कि मैंने फिर से कोशिश नहीं की। तो मैंने तैयारी करनी शुरू कर दी। 21 फरवरी के एक दिन पहले तक, मैं पूरा दिन फ्री रहती थी, फोन चलाती थी। बस 21 फरवरी से मैंने सब कुछ कट कर दिया। मैंने अपने सभी दोस्तों से संपर्क तोड़ लिया। ठीक है, मैंने बाहर जाना बंद कर दिया तब से।

मैंने पहले अटेंप्ट में जो किया था, वो यह था कि मैंने सवाल नहीं हल किए थे। इस बार मैंने सोचा कि मैं बहुत सारे सवाल हल करूंगी। मैं जो भी सवाल करती थी, उन्हें टाइमर लगाकर करती थी, चाहे वो टेस्ट हो या ऐसे ही सवाल हों। मेरे पड़ोसियों को भी लगता था कि उनकी बेटी घर पर नहीं है, वह पहले से ही कोई कोर्स कर रही है और कहीं और रह रही है, क्योंकि उन्होंने मुझे कभी देखा ही नहीं था। मैं अपने कमरे से बाहर नहीं निकलती थी।

There is a syllabus and there is a test. Okay, they used to send the test, and by checking it like this, they would send the marks, and mistakes would also get identified. According to that, I started studying because there was a test for three chapters from each subject. I used to maintain a mistake notebook where I would note down my mistakes. So, I focused on studying according to the NCERT. However, I wasn't getting such good marks in my mock tests.

I was getting around 500 marks, and when I was solving previous year question papers, I used to score over 600 because the questions are strictly based on the NCERT syllabus. So, in this way, July arrived, and during that six-month span, I used to study every day for 12 hours. I had a proper schedule, and throughout this journey, my parents supported me a lot.

All the things were coming together for the food; everyone was caring. Finally, the day of the NEET exam arrived, and guess what, the NEET paper was at my own school. You see, I completed my 11th and 12th grades there. I studied 11th and 12th at Army Public School. So, the standard for NEET was set at that school. I was really happy. I went to school and sat on the same benches. I was obviously familiar with the environment. I arrived an hour early to avoid any issues.

With my parents' support and my brother's advice, I chose to pursue NEET, driven by my interest in biology.

My Academic Journey: From Subjects to Self-Study

I had a mix of subjects, including Computer Science and Additional Maths, as I aimed to challenge myself.

I decided against coaching and opted for self-study, using YouTube videos and making notes.

While I had a strong grasp of concepts, my NEET preparation was disrupted by other distractions, and it never became my main focus.

Navigating 11th and 12th Grade Challenges

The transition from 11th to 12th grade was marked by a lockdown, prompting a shift in focus towards NEET preparation.

The student initially struggled with question-solving but later realized the importance of revising from the book.

Despite the challenges, they leveraged the lockdown to study intensively, resulting in impressive grades.

The focus was on board exams and theory reading, with no question-solving or time management.

The sudden change in board exam scheduling led to a last-minute rush for NEET preparation.

Despite scoring 95 in 12th grade, the lack of practice and mock papers resulted in a disappointing NEET score of 464.

After scoring 464 marks, the speaker considered taking a BDS course to avoid re-reading NCERT books.

Encouraged by a friend, they decided to give NEET another shot and started preparing on February 21, 2022.

The speaker made significant lifestyle changes, including cutting off social media and friends, to focus solely on studying for the exam.

The speaker dedicatedly studied for 12 hours a day, using a timer for consistency and isolating herself from her neighbors.
