sus model R is now available in direct chat on LM CIS. A lot of people think this is the upcoming strawberry model from OpenAI, and today we're going to test it. And by the way, if you haven't seen my multiple videos about strawberry, about QAR, I'll drop them all in the description below. Let's start with something simple: write a Python script to output numbers 1 to 100. Okay, so what we can see already is that the model is a bit slow, and one interesting thing is here's a step-by-step approach. We didn't even ask for a step-by-step approach, so this really seems like they have baked in tree of thought, chain of thought, just step-by-step reasoning right into the model. And that is rumored to be what QAR strawberry really is about. So here's a step-by-step approach to write a Python script that outputs numbers 1 to 100. So we really didn't even need that, but you know what, it got it right. Here it is perfect and an explanation and other

variations of it either way, that's a pass. Next, write the Game snake in Python. Now again, these questions don't really require step-by-step thinking reasoning, so I'm curious to see what happens. We got an API request error, and I suspect we're going to get a lot of those today because this model is probably being hammered. Okay, this time it didn't say it's going to give me a step-by-step way of creating the snake game. It's just doing it, so that's great. So I'm just going to play a little bit of this output just to show you how slow it really is right now. I'm going to guess it's probably at about seven tokens per second right now, line by line we go, and we wait. All right, here we go. Now interestingly enough, it cut off at the end here, so maybe we ran out of tokens, but either way, we did get the full snake game. Let's try it out. Now, what we're looking for is it to actually tell me serialized drying versus parallel drying.

and let's see if it does that. So, it primarily depends on factors like sunlight intensity, wind, humidity, and how the shirts are laid out, rather than the number of shirts per se. Perfect surface area for drying. If each shirt is laid out individually such that they do not overlap, the drying process for each shirt is largely independent of the others. It is based on surface area. Assumption of independent drying. Yes, if you lay out five shirts, assuming they are not stacked or overlapping, each shirt gets its share of sunlight and airflow. If you increase the number to 20 shirts but keep the same conditions, the drying time should stay the same. Yes, perfect conclusion. 20 shirts would take approximately 4 hours to dry. That is a perfect answer with the explanation of why. However, in real-world scenarios, overlap in space. If there isn't enough space to lay out all 20 shirts, this could extend the drying time because it reduces airflow. And yep, this is a flawless answer. Very well done. Pass. really capable model. It's able to actually plan ahead, which is a key component of the rumored strawberry functionality. How many words are in your response to this prompt? My response to your prompt contains 10 words. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Not correct. Now, if I were to guess, this might actually be 10 tokens. One, maybe two here. Three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven. So, it's hard to tell, but it definitely got it wrong. So, that's a fail. Next, for the Killer's problem, there are three killers in a room. Someone enters the room and kills one of them. Nobody leaves the room. How many killers are left in the room? Explain your reasoning step by step. Let's break down the scenario step by step. Initial count of killers: there are three. Entry and action: a person enters the room before the killing. There are three killers. After one killer is killed, we have two killers remaining from the original group. New killer: the person who entered the room and

committed the Act of Killing, now has become a killer themselves. Total number of killers: we subtract one killer because they were killed. We add one killer because the person who did the killing is now considered a killer. So, there are three killers left in the room. Perfect answer, very well done. Now, this one is actually better than I usually see because it specifically called out the fact that the person who was killed is no longer a killer. I think in a perfect world, The Perfect answer would be an explanation that the person who is killed is still a killer. But if we still consider the dead person a killer, there would be four killers in the room. So, to give us both of those answers, but this is definitely the best answer I've seen so far. All right, here we go, the marble problem. This is by far the hardest reasoning problem that I give as part of my llm rubric. So, a marble is put in a glass cup. And by the way, I added that little word there. I'm going to try it with it, and maybe if it gets it, I'll try

And maybe I need to be more specific, because I don't say they're over the table when the glass is turned upside down, and I think I just assumed it would figure that out, but maybe I

Okay, the marble remains at the opening edge of the glass, now touching the table. It stays there because the glass prevents it from falling further. Not quite picking up the glass. Now models actually have been getting this right after this question kind of became popular. A lot of these models are getting it right. Now let's see what happens now. What I've noticed about susr is that they have very verbose answers. It is explaining its reasoning rather than just giving the answer, and that could be due to its prompt engineering or its strawberry functionality. So let's actually read it in full. Both numbers have the same integer part, which is nine. Decimal part1 versus 0.9 to compare these. We can look at each digit after the decimal point. Okay, so each digit after the decimal point is 1 and 9. Since 9 is greater than 1, 9.9 is a greater value. Perfect. That is the best answer so far, and it explains its reasoning really well. Done all right.

let's see what happens with a little bit of morals questions. Is it acceptable to gently push a random person if it could save Humanity from Extinction? All right, so it seems like it's going to give us a framework in which to think about it, but not the actual answer. And of course, next, I'm going to tell it, give me the answer, don't tell me how you would think about it. So here are some ethical Frameworks: consent and individual rights, the certainty of outcome and Alternatives, moral acceptability vs. legal consequences. Yeah, it's really giving me a very in-depth answer, but of course, I'm going to push it to give me a yes or no after this. So now I want you to give me an answer. What would you do? Yes or no? Strictly speaking, if we take into account the Earth's curvature and the exact behavior at the pole, turning left at the pole and walking doesn't form a simple geometric shape like a square or circle due to the convergence of meridians. Weird. Okay, practical consideration given the very small distances involved and the fact that at the North Pole, every direction away from your starting point is south. Your movement would not create a perfect loop. Okay, theoretically, you would not cross your exact first point again due to the unique geographical properties of the North Pole. So, I think that's still right, although I would have liked if it didn't actually tell me first. Now, what happens if I give GPT 40 the same question, but I say, explain your reasoning step by step. So, maybe it'll skip over giving me the answer first. Yeah, so once again, even though I said explain your reasoning, it says, Yes, you would cross your starting point again. Then let's just see at the end. Okay, so actually at the end of this one, it said, You will cross the

point again which is not right. So really interesting. Definitely sus colr got this right and a much better response. So that's it.
