If AI were a toy, what toy would it be? Oh, I can only think of a piñata. The thing that you whack and it all falls out? Yeah. All these surprising things come out. Yeah, absolutely. I like to think about artificial intelligence really redefining the relation between man and machine. The application of AI in healthcare is really the one that I prefer most, because of the impact this is going to have. For young emerging markets where infectious diseases are perhaps more prevalent, think about vaccine developments. AI is currently facilitating the development of pharmaceuticals, innovative ones. It is facilitating treatment areas, making them more accurate, shortening research processes, therefore making treatment avenues much more affordable and more importantly, accessible. So AI will be really good for emerging markets? Emerging markets are really discovering this technology as a way to leap ahead. I mean, think about China.

Here you have a very populous country of more than a billion people that is currently aging at one of the fastest rates. Population aging is going really to redefine a number of ways how our society just operates and what its needs are. Artificial intelligence could actually play quite a vital role in future-proofing those new models.
