IT'S BEEN DRY. YESTERDAY, PARTS OF THE HUDSON VALLEY OVER AN INCH OF RAIN. THAT WAS THE EXCEPTION, NOT THE RULE. FOR THE CITY AND MUCH OF NEW JERSEY, IT HAS BEEN SO DRY.

THERE'S A LITTLE BIT MORE, DEFINITELY MORE IN PARTS OF NEW ENGLAND. MORE INTO UPSTATE NEW YORK. AS THIS PIN WHEEL ENCOUNTERS THIS DRY AIR, MOST OF THAT FALLS APART. THAT WILL LIKELY WEAKEN. SO EVEN FOR THE PARADE IF THERE ARE -- IF THERE WILL BE ANY KIND OF SHOWER ACTIVITY IT WOULD BE VERY BRIEF AND VERY LIGHT. BECAUSE THE WIND IS GOING TO TAKE OVER AND IT'S A PRETTY DRY WIND. The morning is quiet, but gusty winds are expected by this afternoon due to a pressure gradient.

The wind and rain from yesterday caused a lot of leaves to fall, and the pollen count is low, leading to a tissue season.

While there is some shower activity in Dutchess County and parts of New England, the dry air is causing most of the precipitation to dissipate, resulting in a low chance of showers for the day.

Rain is unlikely to break through in the next few days, with a possibility of a shower in the Hudson Valley around lunchtime.

Despite mid-60s temperatures, it will start to feel cooler as the transition to Tuesday begins.

Tuesday is expected to feel like November, with gusty conditions continuing.

November-like weather is expected from tonight until Thursday, with a nice warm-up for the weekend.

The upcoming weekend looks promising with good temperatures, but there is a noticeable lack of rain.
