The dry conditions are spreading north, impacting Monmouth, Middlesex, and Warren counties.

Reservoir levels are below normal, and the state is on track for one of its driest Octobers on record.

The region has experienced 18 consecutive days without rain, with the dry weather expected to continue for another week.

This prolonged dryness increases the wildfire danger and causes the ground to become less absorbent, leading to runoff during any eventual rainfall.

The temperature variation is typical for this time of year, with chilly mornings and a gradual warm-up expected, while some areas north of New York City may experience frost.

Weather Update: Storms and Temperature Changes

The weather is expected to remain beautiful and dry, with temperatures responding accordingly.

A storm approaching Hispaniola now has a 20% chance of getting a name or number, down from a previous 60% risk.

Tropical Depression 15 has formed and is pushing inland around Belize.

The weather in Mexico may soon be influenced by a system named Nadine.

The forecast shows beautiful weather with temperatures consistently at 70 degrees or above, peaking at 78 degrees on Monday.
