* ☔ Early rainfall predictions indicate only **a quarter to three-quarters of an inch**, which is **insufficient for addressing the ongoing drought conditions**.
* 🌧 Significant rain is anticipated from Tropical Storm Raphael as it moves towards the Gulf of Mexico, potentially bringing **much-needed moisture** by Sunday into Monday.
* 📅 The seven-day forecast shows temperatures rising to **73°F on Tuesday** and possibly reaching a **record 76°F on Wednesday**, surpassing the current record of **75°F**.
* 🌡 Following the warm temperatures, a drop to **69°F** is expected on Thursday, but it will still remain **mild for this time of year**.
* 📉 Severe drought conditions are present in Ocean County and northern Monmouth County, with the entire area likely to be **under some level of drought** according to the latest reports.
* 🌤 ️ Currently, skies are mostly clear with temperatures at **57°F**, but there is **no rain in sight** despite the need for precipitation.
* 🌪 The high-pressure system is acting as a barrier, **preventing rain from moving into the area**, which is critical as the region continues to experience **abnormally dry conditions**.

BUT WE COULD ACTUALLY SEE POSSIBLY SOME MUCH-NEEDED REMNANT RAIN OUT OF RAPHAEL BY SUNDAY GOING INTO MONDAY. I WILL GIVE YOU SOME LATEST INFORMATION ON THAT IN A MOMENT. BUT I DO WANT TO CHECK IN ON THE DROUGHT SITUATION. COMING THURSDAY. WHEN WE HAVE A NEW DROUGHT REPORT THAT IS PUT OUT, I THINK THE ENTIRE AREA WILL BE UNDER SOME KIND OF A DROUGHT. THE YELLOW SHOWS YOU ABNORMALLY DRY. WE NEED RAIN AND ARE NOT PICKING UP. SKIES ARE LOOKING FINE. THERE ARE CLOUDS AND WET WEATHER OFF TO OUR WEST, BUT IT DOES NOT MAKE ITS WAY INTO THE AREA TOMORROW. HIGH PRESSURE IN CONTROL, AND IT'S LIKE A DEFLECTOR SHIELD. THE HIGH IS BOUNCING ALL OF THE RAIN AND KEEPING IT OUTSIDE OF OUR AREA, GOING UP AND OVER THE HIGH. Tropical Storm Raphael is moving towards Jamaica and the western tip of Cuba, potentially becoming a Category One storm.

The storm is expected to make landfall in the Gulf Coast before curving north and east.

There is a chance that the storm's path could impact our area.
