Hey guys, I've got a review of the large 7 1/2 quart enameled Dutch oven for you.

Here today. Now, the first thing you're going to notice, if you're anything like me, is how heavy and sturdy this thing is.

I like heavy cookware because I tend to believe that if it's heavy, then it's going to be durable and good quality.

Even lifting the lid off this is a sizable effort. I mean, it is a large size, but if you're looking for something

that's quality, then I think this is certainly going to fit the bill. And also, I just love the look of it. Now, I picked

this color... um, you can have any color you want. I think there were like 10 or 20 different colors on Amazon, but it just

looks great. When it comes to serving, you can put this on the table. And it is cast iron, but it's enameled all the way around

the outside, so you don't ever see the cast iron; you just see this really, really nice finish. Now, opening it up, I made a

um, leg of a small leg of roast lamb to test this out. And you can see straight away, again, enameled on the inside.

Can you see how clean it is? Um, there are a few specks, I think, of maybe dust or

something inside, but it cleans up super easily. Um, it is dishwasher safe; however, I will say, because again it's so heavy,

when I put this in the oven to roast my leg of lamb, it was so heavy that the shelf in the oven bent, uh, bowed a little

bit. So, um, that was slightly worrying. Again, it is good quality, but you may not want to put it in the dishwasher just because

it's so big and it's so heavy. But having said that, it is super easy to wash just

by hand, um, by hand with a soft sponge and just some dishwater, uh, soap... dish soap, and you'll be fine. Now, you'll

See these rubber feet along the outside? You don't leave these on when you're cooking. These are provided by Lodge so

that when you put the lid back on, it doesn't chip the enamel. So that's a nice touch. And really, aside from that, it's

everything that I could have expected from my very first Dutch oven purchase. As I said, this is one of the larger

sizes. It is extremely heavy, but as I said, I like that because, to me, it's made of good quality material and it'll be

around for a long time. Even the lid is super heavy, and you can see here that it's secured with just one simple screw.

So if that ever comes loose, it's super easy to maintain and retighten that. But as I said, it looks great, just presentation

wise, and because it is made of such thick cast iron, it does exactly what you want it to do very well: very even heat

distribution. Cooks very evenly. And uh, this roast leg of lamb I put in here was enough to serve

three people, four people comfortably, and it was small for this one. So you could probably feed a family of eight very

easily in this, allowing you to make use of some of those cheaper cuts as well. So, great purchase! Love it! Just uh, yeah, be
