[Applause] Welcome to Brazil, Remy. Thank you for being here. We're so very excited to hear all about "The Amateur." So, this movie looks incredible. Do you mind telling us a bit about the story? Uh, well, first of all, it's such a

privilege to be with you all. Um, a gorgeous country and uh, even better human beings, if, if that makes any sense because it's all, it's, it's all pretty extraordinary down here. Um, we made a film, uh, an espionage thriller. I wanted

to make something quite sophisticated, elegant. Uh, movies that we loved as, as a kid and take it to a different level, a level where we could appreciate a hero that perhaps we saw inside of ourselves, uh, someone who wasn't the, you know, the typical hero that we see in film and uh,

I gravitate to certain characters. Freddy Mercury was, he was an unexpected hero. Elliot in "Mr. Robot," an unexpected hero. And uh, and now I have one more for you with Charlie. And what sets your character, Remy, what sets your hero apart from leads in other spy

action thrillers? Uh, I think he's someone we least expect to do something extraordinary. You know, someone we can see uh, in any aspect of our lives, just on, on a regular basis and go, "Well, I don't think they're capable of that." But

uh, when he, he deals with some grief at the beginning of the film, a loss of someone he adores, his wife, and the CIA isn't doing anything about it, and he has a choice: Do I just bury my head in the sand or do I actually dig deep and

find some power inside myself and I think that's something we do every day all of us so you need an incredible ensemble cast in this movie what was it like working with such a great group of actors oh it was extraordinary I mean having a mentor

figure like Lawrence Fishburne who we've seen yeah he he he has that ability to fill you with this confidence but also tell you in a scene you're not good enough you can't do something but then you surprise him perhaps and to surprise Lawrence Fishburne in a scene is a is a

moment that I won't forget but yeah you have uh Rachel Brosnahan from yeah yes you'll be seeing her soon uh in a big way um uh everyone from John Bernthal who I did The Pacific you know John yes uh Katrina B Michael Starr I mean it's uh it's a loaded cast

and uh and we just came together to do something I think that we've never seen before in an action film uh I I I try to pick things that uh I I look back on with exceptional pride and things that I think will resonate with all of us and I

feel this is one of them and as you were saying uh the G truly feels like a big screen event uh spending location all across the globe big action and really really clever storytelling how was it shooting like uh the filming with Jamie and what was your favorite memory from

the set um I think my favorite memory is every day trying to to give this a spin that we've never seen before we had all of that kind of explosive uh surprising uh moments that that genre gives you you know that the power the uh

there's something really visceral about it that you get from a Bourne or you get from a John Wick but there's an element of who he is that takes you to a different place that makes you feel like I'm right there being in the seat of

that person uh their experience what they're going through and so you don't feel is Perhaps Perhaps you feel closer to that character than you have in a film like this in the past and that's powerful and it makes you feel perhaps like uh a hero

in your own right because again we all are thank you so much R we are Beyond excited can't wait to see the film when he hits theaters April 11 2025 but I think you have something for us I do I do well we came all the way

here so why not deliver a surprise you surprise uh I think well I know for the first time cuz we haven't shown this trailer to anyone so why not let you be the first thank you [Applause] [Music] n
