KEEP IN MIND WE COULD USE SOME RAIN AROUND HERE. FOR SEPTEMBER AND WHERE WE ARE IN OCTOBER, THE COMBINATION OF THE TWO MONTHS, WE ARE ALMOST 4 INCHES BELOW WHERE WE NEED TO BE. WE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT TAMPA BECAUSE OF THE ENTRY TO TAMPA BAY. IT IS ONE WAY IN AND NO WAY OUT. ONCE THAT WATER GOES IN THERE IT'S JUST GOING TO PILE UP AND THERE IS A REAL FEAR OF IT FLOODING. WHAT HAPPENS IF IT GOES SOUTH OF TAMPA, WHICH IS WHERE IT IS FORECAST RIGHT NOW? IT IS NOT DEFINITE BUT IT IS THE HIGHER PROBABILITY. THIS HAS GOT COUNTERCLOCKWISE CIRCULATION, CIRCULATING THE AIR LIKE THIS. THAT ACTUALLY GRABS WATER. THAT WIND WILL GRAB WATER AND PULL

IT OUT OF THE BAY AND PUSH IT INTO THE GULF OF MEXICO. THIS COULD ACTUALLY DRAIN THE BAY AT TIMES, AND THEN YOU WOULD PICK STORM SURGE UP ON THE BACKSIDE OF IT, BUT MAYBE 3 TO 5 FEET. IF, HOWEVER, THE LANDFALL IS 20 MILES TO THE NORTH, 20 MILES, THAT IS NOTHING IN THE WORLD OF MOTHER NATURE. IF IT IS RIGHT THERE, HERE'S A COUNT OF CHRONIC -- COUNTERCLOCKWISE SPIN. THIS IS NOW GRABBING THE WATER HERE AND THROWING IT RIGHT INTO THE BAY. THAT FILLS UP. THAT IS HOW YOU GET THE 10 TO 15 FOOT SURGE. THE BIGGER PICTURE IS GOING TO SHOW YOU AS IT PUSHES THROUGH THE PENINSULA OF FLORIDA, AS IT IS EXITING,

IT IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE. NOW, IT IS FLOODING AREAS NORTH OF WHEREVER LANDFALL IS. THAT IS WHY STORM SURGE WARNINGS ARE UP ON THE EAST COAST OF FLORIDA. IT IS A STORM SPECIFICALLY FOR FLORIDA THAT DOES NOT GO UP INTO APPALACHIA.
