The Chosen situation just got way crazier. The Chosen has become a smash hit, garnering millions of views and supporters, but not without controversy. When the first season of The Chosen came out, viewers were met with a show that had multiple side plots, conversations, and characters that were never mentioned in the Bible. Watching the character of Jesus, played by Jonathan Roumie, speak words that were never found in the Bible was jarring for many, even being accused of blasphemy by some fringe fundies. Regardless of the outrage, The Chosen masterfully drew its distinction from the show and the writings of scripture. The feedback and data seem to suggest that The Chosen wasn't distracting or driving people away from the writings of scripture, but rather led millions of people to revisit the Bible and go deeper or read the Bible for the very first time. The cast of The Chosen began to win the hearts of millions around the world, and many of the haters even became lifetime fans. Even a micro-economy around The Chosen began to blossom as

they employed almost 1,000 step St members media outlets committed to documenting the growth of the chosen took off, and Christians all around the world began selling out theaters to support the biggest creative project modern Christian culture has ever seen. But looming over the heads of everyone who watches or is involved with making the chosen is a way harsher reality. You see, the chosen was initially slated for seven seasons, and they just finished shooting season 5. Season 6 is being written right now. It has many asking questions: what comes after the final season is done and released? Does everything come to a halt after the season of Jesus's resurrection? Does Christian media return to dusk, only to be filled by more Kirk Cameron movies and God's Not Dead 43? And what about all the people that are affiliated with working on the show or covering the show—the staff, the cast, and the creators that keep people updated on what may be happening next and the slight Easter eggs that Dallas and the writers drop in? Well, I had the privilege of going to

this year's chosen conference and this ion was definitely in the air. Well, I was invited to fly to Orlando to witness this for myself. I ended up talking to the creator of the chosen, Dallas Jenkins, and what I found out made this situation way more interesting. But before we get into that, guys, my name is Rousan. All right, let's jump into this video. So, if you're looking at this right here, this is Dallas Jenkins, creator of The Chosen.

and his wife, Amanda Jenkins. And if you look closely, they are actually not wearing a chosen shirt; they're wearing a shirt with a new and different logo. Now, we're going to get into that in a moment when I play you guys my conversation with Dallas. But let's look at some of the things they have coming up. So, what is the first project that I am going to do with 5 and 2 Studios after the chosen season 7? Well, we've talked about the Mana program, we've talked about Red Sea moments throughout the first five seasons of the show. You've heard his name mentioned many times, and so this is why I do want to tell this story: The Chosen book of Moses. Moses is an underqualified, forced-to-be-surrendered man who is called by God to do things that he didn't ever see coming and that he wasn't qualified for. And so, we have always identified with Moses from that regard. And as the chosen has grown, the more and more that we experience life, we go, Man, we've got to tell the Moses story.

and so uh we're going to be doing three seasons of uh that's going to be a three-season show. It's going to cover uh three of the most consequential moments of the Moses story and the the the Journey of course um out of Egypt and yeah um this is a big show uh yeah okay so the they are announcing shows that are coming from new studio they're working on and the first one is Moses. Now there's other shows I thought this was only going to be one or two announcements there's other shows so I'm going to tell you then what I want to do after that so three seasons of Moses. We want to go back in time a little bit but we can't stay back there right. We do need to show what comes next after this story. All right here we go let's show it the book of Acts. They were excited about that one is that a surprise in the book of Acts. They refer to the way in fact if you watch The Messengers that was one of their code

words was the way. That's what this movement was referred to as. They have the ichus, which was the original symbol used to identify Christians in the first century while they were going through persecution. And so, uh, I think P people expected this, which is what happens after season 7 in the resurrection, and he's bringing it to them. So, seems like these are going to be coming out in order, I believe. Uh, now let's see, uh, what else he has planned. But I want to show you, and I'm just going to see if you can guess this from the image, the next limited series that we want to do before the end of the chosen. Let's show that right now. Oh, that's fire. Again, the beauty of the Joseph story and the reason that we want to tell it is that in many ways, when you took look at the stories of Jacob, uh, Joseph's father, and you look at the stories of Joseph and his brothers, this was before the law, this was before Moses, this was human beings trying to figure

out how to live, how to deal with some of their basist impulses, how to deal with their Humanity, with no excuse me, with no guideline. And so, in many ways, these stories are the reason that Moses was given the law, and Moses's stories are the reason that Jesus came. And so, we want that through line through all of these projects, that even when they're Old Testament projects, they're really ultimately Jesus projects. And so, Joseph felt like a natural one for a limited series, eight episodes. Of course, we're going to cover some of the backstory of Jacob and Rachel and Leah, and we're going to get into the birth of the 12 brothers who were, of course, the forbears of the 12 tribes of Israel. And so, I know so many of you know that story, and I can't wait to show you the next steps in that. So, pray for us right now because, as we speak, some of those scripts are being worked on. That's three different shows that they announced around the chosen universe, and

there's a children's series that is coming, actually pitched by Daryl EES. Check this out. I actually presented an idea to Dallas. I'm like, Hey, what about doing an animated series of the Chosen? And he's like, Oh, are you kidding me? Like, we're just barely getting started. I am so excited to finally be able to say to you that we have a new project, The Chosen Adventure. [Music] And I pray that if there are ever two children who visit my home here, you will give them the courage to say shalom. So, The Chosen Adventures will be a look at the world of Jesus's Ministry through the eyes of two nine-year-olds who encounter him in their play space. One day, Sir, what's your name? My name is Jesus. I mean, how often do you just get to watch Jesus interacting with kids just for the sake of it? My, I'm going to be honest, I'm probably most excited about this as someone that has kids, to be able to expose them to something that's, you know, not Veggie.

Tales now, as some of you guys may know, me and my team actually put together a spin-off trailer of a show that we want to get made as well. Now, some of you may know this show is a spin-off of The Chosen, and I actually pressed Dallas about when this will be getting made. But first, let's go a little deeper and unpack what that new five and two logo he's wearing is all about. Tell me about how you think five and two Studios is going to impact the Christian landscape of giving people so many different options. Kids, you have The Chosen, the way you have the Joseph story, The M, yeah, the way of The Chosen, from the book of Acts, the book of Moses, which of course is about the book of Moses, books, the story of Joseph, the Adventures, the animated show, the thing we're doing with Bear Grylls, um, Chosen in the Wild, which looks awesome. Yeah, he's pretty cool, and you're going to be in the wild. I'm going to be in the wild, and I am a

rugged endorsement, so we're going to see how that works out. Um, here's the thing. You just asked, What do I think it's going to do for the impact? When the little boy brought five loaves and two fish to Jesus, he did not have any idea that it was going to be multiplied. He did it because it's what he had. He wasn't thinking actually about the impact yet; that's up to Jesus, right? Right. That's why we call it Five and Two Studios. So, I can't actually answer your question because I'm not honestly focused on that. It's not a bad question; it's just that we don't think of where this may go someday. We think of what we are doing now. Lo and two fish that we are making need to be as good and healthy as they can be. And if God deems them worthy of acceptance, the transaction's over. Amen. So, I don't know what the impact will be. Of course, it's always great to see impact; it's always great when God multiplies anything, but

I'd be H. I'm just as happy to see God multiply what you're doing as what I'm doing. The impact is not up to me, so I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing. You're going to keep doing what you're doing. We'll root for each other, but I can't answer that question about how it's going to impact because I really don't know, and that's not why we're doing it. That's good. That's good. Okay, when is season 5 coming out? I need a release date. Yeah, so it's going to be 2025 for sure. We don't know exactly when. It's not going to be as quick as we normally do it because we are now trying to get it translated into multiple languages so that when it comes out, it's in multiple languages. It's always been American, and then we get people all over the country who are seeing all this stuff online, and they can't watch the show, and it's like sometimes months before they can watch it, so we've sped

up that process, but we do want to release it all the same time. So, it will be in the early portion of 2025, but we don't know how early. I think the people, my people, want to know when is the merchant going to be a show under five and two Studios, more fish Dallas. Yes, yes. Um, now for those of you guys that don't know about our time when we went to the chosen location for their show and shot our own spin-off, the merchant. Let me pit you on it right now. Born in the same city as the man they call Christ, yet my travels to keep up with his ministry have taken me beyond land and sea. His anointing is not lost on me, for I know he is mAh, but who am I to think I can be in his presence? After all, I am just the merchant. [Music] Oh, Adonai, more fish. So I'm extremely excited because I think ultimately the more Christian media there is, the more people are going to be pointed back to scripture, the more they become scripturally literate, the more they'll
