[Music] Okay, let's talk about Blight maps. I'm getting a lot of questions and the idea is that Lightning Arrow is insane and it won't ever work and things are a mess currently. This character, like I've showed on Twitch, is a mess. It's missing sockets, it's got a Dias, it's got a Slither pinch, it's, yeah, it's got a Head Hunter and stuff. But Blight maps in itself, while being Uber, doesn't really change and affect a lot of things. There's tier 14, 15, and 16 Blight maps, right? All of the Blight maps are the same, so it doesn't matter if it's 14, 15, or 16, they're all Uber, they're all i level 85. It doesn't matter which one you run, the only biggest differences are the layouts. So like Mud Geyser's going to have a different layout than Jungle Valley, Jungle Valley is going to have a different layout than Gardens. And if you're trying to sneak

into the blight ravage as early as possible. There are a couple ways to make this work. Step one is to have clear oils. Clear oils are going to reduce the movement speed of the monsters and increase the pack size. CP oils are going to give your Towers more damage, which is really, really, really important. And then you're going to have Amber oils. Your Amber oils are going to reduce the cost of building on your Tower. So, you know, pretty much it's going to be the same mentality as going into a regular map. Like we're going to go into a regular map, we're going to build our Towers, we're going to take abuse of the towers, we're going to use the towers to do everything that we want to do, and we're not really going to stress. The other side of blight ravage is your character needs to have rings. Now, um, my rings are like whatever. You can't use a Colandra touch because you can't really annoy to Colandra touch doesn't work. So you need to have rings.

know, in this demonstration, I have like Aventurine and stuff on your rings and stuff won't matter. Essentially, what you want to do is you want to anoint onto your rings two very major important things. The first thing that you want to anoint on your rings (I'll grab this for the show) is you want to have a Silver Oil and an Azure Oil. This gives you Chilling Towers freeze. This allows your Chilling Towers to freeze an enemy and they do things right. The other Tower is, or the other one you want to have, is that you want to have Meteor Towers burn so that you can deal damage to mobs. I know this has been changed, I know this has been nerfed, I know a bunch of people are going to say a bunch of things. It's still really good for what we're attempting to do. You could change this anoint to like Arc or Empowering, like there's a lot of flexibility and a lot of room, but Meteor Towers still really, really do the job. Now before somebody in

the comments section. Like balefire says, why don't you just like use a reflective oil? H, tou just can't be anointed because it reflects the other ring, so it just count as having the same anoint because it's the other ring. Shout out to my boy balefire. Okay, now we, we do all this, we set it all up, we anoint our Rings. Blight ravaged is truly a tower defense game and a tower defense mechanic, unless you're playing something crazy. If you're playing like blade Vortex, ight, or you're playing something that explodes or like poison proliferate. You know, there was a gentleman who was telling me he was playing, uh, poison desate cremation. I don't know if that still works, if it still works, but essentially like if you're playing anything that anything that explodes, anything that pops, anything that bleeds, anything that can just explode a wide variety of things or take advantage of the health of the mobs, you're in a really good spot. So like Chie and fulm was a really good example.

EK ignite's a really good example. Anything Elementalist is a really good example. So that's how you cheese your way into it. You also want to standard is such a mess. My stash tabs and standard is such a mess. You also want to make sure that your Maps are chiseled. Very important. And you want to make sure that when you roll your Maps, you want to look for a couple of things. One, you never want to run a map that has Max life as extra es. It is going to make your life literally miserable. And you never want to do like no. If your character could do no region, you could do no region. I'm not ever doing no region. Like the hell with that, right? Like that's crazy talk. Um, just make sure that you run mods that your character is able to run. You never want to run, run if possible mobs can't be stunned. And you never want to run if possible movement speed can't go below base value. Everything else is free game. Ideally, your Maps would like to have the highest

amount of quantity and rarity that they can have and pack size and all that stuff because it's light ravage and because we're aiming for a lot of things and you know we just want to take advantage of the high tier of Quant because we're doing doing this in an early League scenario. We're not going to have the silvers and the opal Essence and the black oils to put onto the maps. We're not going to have the character that can do the map and do the juicing when we put our blight ravaged in. If you have the fragments from ederi, you could do the fragments for ederi because I'm in standard. I don't have that, but the fragments from at Zer would really juice up the map nicely. Your atlas tree does not affect the blight ravage map. Nothing on the map device affects the blight ravage map, and the only things that you can do are the fored zeri fragments, and you can corrupt your BL ravage map because this is an early League scenario.

you don't want to corrupt your Blight Ravage map for a couple of reasons. One, you don't want it to break into something like no stun, no regen, something you can't handle. Two, assuming Blight Ravage maps are high in demand and you can't get a whole lot of them, you really don't want to lose the ones that you have. Three, it's like hour 10, you're cruising, you really can't afford to lose a map. You only corrupt your Blight Ravage Maps when your character is in a position comfortable enough to be able to clear it with any bad case scenario happening. Blight Ravage, like every other Blight map, has these waves, and these waves will tell you what mobs are immune to. So, like this one is really detrimental to us as they're immune to freeze Towers. This is immune to Sun Towers, and it becomes really detrimental really quick. The biggest problem with Blight Ravage maps in general that can really Breck us is the

fact that sometimes Tower placement will screw us. Like to keep it as straightforward and honest as possible. Sometimes like Tower placement will just kill you, and there's nothing you can do about it. Sometimes you just lose, and you just have to understand that. Like it's going to happen. GG go next in blight ravage Maps. If we're playing a character like this that is a complete mess, and we're trying to sneak our way into it, we have to really take advantage of towers. And towers are our biggest thing. We are going to make our empowering Towers level three. We're going to make our seismic Towers level three. We're going to make our chilling Towers level three. And we're going to make our meteor Towers level four. Seismic and chilling stay on three because we're using the anoint on our R. So chilling Towers freeze and that they keep the mobs locked in place. And you'll see that as soon as the mobs start spawning. And then we're taking meteor Towers to level four because we want them to leave the

burning ground on the floor, and you can see the burning ground right here. This is how we're killing all the mobs. We're never really worry too much about killing the mobs or killing the bosses. The towers will do that for us as our character gets stronger, and as our character progresses, we'll be able to do that. And once you start learning the resistances and the types here, you'll start building towers that will deal damage to the waves of mobs alongside what you have, and it'll make things go a lot smoother and a lot easier, and you'll start stressing a lot less, and it becomes really, really, really nice. So like here, for example, we're going to build another set of freezing, and we're going to build another set of stun Towers because we just want to make sure that we don't accidentally get killed. We don't have to worry about fire immunity waves until down here because these are the two waves that are fire immune, and everything in theory should good work kind of in our favor if we start to get

screwed. It's going to feel bad. It's going to happen now. Blight ravage is one of those things where, because it is a tower defense game, and because we are playing Tower Defense, we really want to take advantage of choke points on the map. If you don't really take advantage of building inside of choke points, you're going to struggle. Like, it is really, really, really important that you build inside of choke points because like, if you've ever played Warcraft 3 from back in the day, or you've ever played like any sort of Elemental TD, or any sort of Tower Defense period, like not building inside of a choke is going to make things awkward. And you see, like that, for example, right there, that mob just did not care. And you're going to have that. That is going to happen. You're going to have mobs that run past you, and there's nothing you can do about it. It is blight ravage, right? It is that, that, that is blight ravage. The only thing you can do is try to stall the mob.

and hope for the best. Even sometimes you'll get bosses that just like this guy. I just didn't care until I built this freezing Tower. Like it is what it is, right? Going into blank ravage too early. Like you have to be careful. If you aren't careful, like why is my tower not working? Are too close. I'm trying to teach people and it's not working. Sometimes things happen and sometimes you just lose. There's nothing you could do about it, right? Like this just the nature of the game that we're playing. Why they do that and why they don't work, I don't know. It happens, it's weird, it's stressful, but it happens. The biggest thing that you have to know and the biggest thing that you have to take away from this is building your Towers properly inside of Choke points will cause what's happening up here. That boss right there is frozen and stuck in place. These mobs below me are frozen and stuck in place. That is what we're aiming for. We're aiming to freeze and stick.

every single mob and have them literally not move because as soon as everything dies, and only the bosses are left, you don't have to worry about anything. Everything is pretty much just smooth sailing eventually, like your Towers will eventually kill the bosses, things will eventually die, and you'll be able to really just capitalize on all the free gear and all the free loot. The biggest scariest part of black ravaged is the Panic, the buildup, the starting of it. Did you build towers? Did you forget to build towers? Where did you put your Towers? Did you build in a choke point? Did you not build in a choke point? Did Cassia not spawn Towers? I'm sure if you've done blight ravage in the past, or you've done blight period, there have been times where you're like Cassia, where the hell are my towers? And you're just like, and you just don't know what to do because it just doesn't work or it doesn't happen. Now we've seen a couple times in this that like mobs sometimes

don't give a damn. They will run past you, they will do things, and sometimes mobs just won't die because you aren't able to build Powers fast enough. And what happens is, this lag happens. You see this lag right here. This lag is an indicator that we're not killing mobs fast enough. And because we're not killing mobs fast enough, one major important thing happens: the mobs will push into the tower. More and more mobs will push into the tower, and eventually they will push their way out of the stuns and out of the freezes, and the towers will get overwhelmed. You literally combat this by playing a build that can either A) kill the mobs or B) you are capable enough to stay calm and build towers. So, you've seen we like 4 and 1/2 minutes into this, pretty much a lot of the mobs are dying, all of the bosses are completely Frozen, we've never attacked once, half of my auras aren't even on and working, I've never fired my bow.

entire time the boss up there is literally dead. We've killed three bosses and like it just becomes the argument of like if you can't do blight ravage, it's either a you had bad Tower placement or B you didn't practice right. So like it is just, it is just the thing where you have to practice, you have to understand it, you have to keep calm, and you have to like not really stress. Light ravage is going to be one of those things where things are going to go wrong, things are going to break, but every time that you do another map, every time that you do another encounter, every time that you start to see the different random case scenarios of what happens, you're eventually going to get to the point here where it started, it was a little rocky, it was a bit of a mess, things weren't going great, and then all of a sudden like all the mobs down here are dead. This would be cleaned up if I can go down there and build towers but.

because I'm playing a Half Baked character for testing purposes to Showcase why I'm starting lightning Arrow why it won't matter. Like you just have to get down here when mobs start dying and build a tower or two to just deal some damage. Like you see this guy, he's just, he's almost dead from just like basic damage. So like let's just build a couple of towers and get him dead right. Same thing with like up here on top, like all of these mobs, everything up here is done. And you know everything up here is done because all the lanes are gray, right? Once the lane goes gray, it is off, no more mobs are spawning, there's nothing else to worry about, and you just start building towers. And you see this guy, he's dying, he's dying, he's absolutely dying, he's stuck in place, he's not going to move, you have nothing to worry about. And it's going to be the same thing down here. You're eventually going to come down here, you're going to hope to God that you don't die to mobs.

that are like moving around. You're going to like deal with a little bit of lag. You see that I'm even lagging and you're just going to build a couple of extra towers and mobs are just, you know, eventually going to die. Oh my God, please. I'm trying to do something. Stop hitting me. Go away. Go, go away. And you see like, I don't, I'm not dealing damage. Like, I don't deal good damage to kill these guys, right? Like we're simulating like a day one hour 10, no good gear, not able to do anything. Lightning arrow. And the reason we're doing lightning arrow is so we could blitz through this without issues and without problems and we can go do maps 'cause it's like so those are caler. And you want to be able to do things and stuff like that, but like essentially you're just, you're pretty set up to do everything now. One of the cool things that I'm not going to put a lot of emphasis on in this video and one of the

things that I'm not going to like really talk about really showcase until I get it to Absolute work is one of the really cool things is a lot of skills inside of light ravage assuming I don't die please like these these things are just going to kill me um there's really weird strange interactions hey thanks for the follow man there's really really really weird strange interactions that can happen inside of blight ravage with glacial towers and with lightning arrow and Ice shot um you can actually just build the towers and you see that guy immediately died right because of like calling strike and stuff but you can essentially build um glacial Towers once you get a little bit more damage and Ricochet your shots off of the The Ice wall towers and like things start getting going your character does a little bit damage and you could Ricochet all your shots off the walls of the the the glacial Tower and start dealing damage but that's a that's a whole thing for another video when we get a little bit of gear and I

can shut it off properly, but um, you know, I shot a penetration, does it lightning Arrow does it and um, you know, there's, there's ways around it and ways to Showcase it, and you see, like, you know, there was a conversation in twitch chat earlier where there was a gentleman who's like, I don't see how Bose can do this, it's never going to happen on day one, and I want this to be a really good example and just to really demonstrate to people that like, if you build your Towers properly, if you use your choke points effectively, if you understand how to roll your maps and you understand how to do ring anoints, light in itself doesn't become difficult. The hardest part about blight is staying alive long enough to build the towers, and like, you know, I'm playing this like half-baked lightning Arrow guy with no health, no real way to regenerate life, and you know, it's a little, it's a little cooked, it's a little cooked at the end of the day, and you're going to say, oh my God, you used

four portals. You did this, you did that. It doesn't matter how many portals you use. You're playing softcore. It doesn't matter that you die. What's important in this? What's really, really, really important? The big takeaway is that you can do this. You can clear these, and you will get loot. The biggest reason why we're doing Blight Ravage is the fact that Blight Ravage will drop a couple of things. Blight Ravage will give us access to i86 bases which with, uh, incubators, not incubators, um, oh my God, what is it called? Recombinators will be very, very, very important since 30 quality gear doesn't drop anymore and it is, well, it can't be obtained outside of drops. Having i86 bases explode from the pump is going to be very, very, very important, and you're going to be able to do that. You'll also get really cool synthesis stuff. You'll get double anointed jewelry. You'll get strangle grasp, and there's overall tons and tons and tons of really, really

really good things that come outside of blight ravage. The hardest part about blight ravage though is when it's done and it's over and you're a little impatient and you want your loot and you don't know what's going going on and you're ready to go and it's you know you're like oh my God just die like what are you doing and these will take a little bit longer until you get gear. These will take a little bit longer until you um you know just progress your character until you build more towers and stuff like that. There has been a lot of talk about will these drop gold. I don't know if these mobs will drop gold. I assume they will drop gold. I assume gold will either come from the pump explosion or the mobs themselves. I am pretty confident, don't quote me, but I am pretty confident the new bases will drop from Blight, you know the Q&A said that like blight will provide you with new bases or like the game will drop new bases and you can see right

away just from the explosion of this like this loot covers the screen, and this is just the loot from the pump explosion. Like it's just it's off the screen in every direction. And the real big takeaway from this is this is i86 gloves, and i86 shield, and i87 boots, and i86 mask, and i86 this, and i86 that. The big big takeaway is all of these bases because recombinator are back are worth something. This is all like all of this now is worth something. And I had mentioned in the last video there's an armor that you can equip and an armor that you can put on. If you're wearing this armor, anything magic that falls will drop identified. So just to reiterate, I never attacked this armor, did nothing for me period. Nothing. I never attacked. All I did was build towers in a blight ravage map. This map was rare. This map was hard. It had minus Max res 241 per more life crit multi crit. They were hasted with attack speed. The monsters de extra

Fizz is lightning like this was like relatively in speaking terms like a hard map so like you would expect to need gear. You would expect to be like pretty well off to do it but we never attacked period. We never attacked. It doesn't matter what you're playing as long as you understand how to build the towers. And the reason that it's important that you understand that and it's important that you understand this armor is that this would have just dropped identified. I don't know if this is good or not but if I see it identified I can filter it and I can set it up for rec combinators. This would I drop identified like what if this has like tier one Fizz on it or what if this has like tier one minion damage or what if this has like tier one like you know like random things that you would never think about would become available. And then you get to start you get to do the like the fun thing of like looting the map where like you just get tons tons of scarabs you come over here.

these are all I85 bases. I85 is still going to be good and valuable. You come over here you get I85 Rings. I85 rings are huge by the way. You don't need i86 I don't think for tier one um anything on rings. Like we could double check this really quick. If you don't know if a base is good by the way you could just come on over to craft of EX and look for the base really quick. So like if we click Rings we see right here that Rings cap out at 84. So like searching for I 84 rings for tier one resistances is really really valuable. You know tier one item Rarity if like they're looking for Rarity. I don't know what mods are people are going to be looking for but like you could see right away what people are looking for. This is fractured like what if this is a good fracture. If this is a good fracture people especially on 85 base like if that's a good fracture people are going

to want it tons and tons and tons of bubble gum just everything that you could possibly possibly think of and want is going to come out of these and I really truly believe that blight ravage going forward in Settlers of calar is going to be insane and like it I can do this now and all I need was a ring ano and all I needed was another Ringo and this Ringo was expensive you can buy this at the end of day one you could set that up at the end of day one and pretty much be really good to go like you don't really need a lot like this will probably be about 20 30 40 C this will be about 10 to 40 C maybe if you haven't farmed it yourself from doing regular blade ravage or regular ravage maps and this and this will be worthless and now there's going to be an auction house you just go buy them off the auction house the hardest thing about doing this early is you just don't

panic, just don't panic. Take your time, breathe, build towers inside choke points. And as long as your layout and Cassia doesn't... If Cassia doesn't give you one tower, and she gives you towers, you'll be fine. But if you lose, don't be upset. Sometimes it happens, sometimes you lose, sometimes it goes bad. But with a little bit of practice, a little bit of patience, a little bit of understanding, a little bit of checking out different layouts, you'll be fine. And you really could be doing this like day one. Just a matter of like, did you get through the campaign fast enough, did you get to the ability to buy them. So, wanted to leave this with you. I wanted to show that you can do this, and I can show you that it doesn't matter that I have like crazy gear. It doesn't matter that I'm lightning Arrow. None of it matters, literally none of it matters. Doesn't matter, but I am playing lightning arrow for other reasons, but we'll talk about that when the lightning Arrow video.
