In the past year, I have tried over a hundred different AI video tools, and in this video, I will break down my top 10 favorite free AI video tools for you. Before we dive in, let's clarify what free means here. I am including different levels of free tools. Open-source models, free to download and run on your computer, but complex to set up and you will need a powerful machine to ensure they run smoothly. The next step is cloud options. You can run these open-source models in the cloud, but you will pay for cloud computing. Then there are free web applications that give you unlimited access with optional paid upgrades, and beyond that, there are services with free tiers. These provide you with a renewable daily amount of credits with optional upgrades for more intensive use, but the key with these is that you can keep turning to them. However, I do not include tools that only offer a free trial, so let's dive deeper. Now, if you are a fan of open-source models, then replicate.com is the place to be. There are many interesting models to replicate, and this is one of my favorites. It's called Live Portrait, and it allows you to take an image like the one on the left and animate it like the video on the right. It does this using a driving video, which is a video used to model the animation. As you can see, this was the driving video for this animation, taking this Asian man

Let me show you a couple of examples of this. Here's another one I created using the same driving video but with my own image, and here I am with a different driving video. Now it's extremely easy to use this model, and I will quickly show you the best way to do it. So, first of all, you need to delete the face image input file, and then you can go ahead and upload your own file. Now you can use any file you want. I will use another one of this character. Now I will show you that you can change the driving video, and in fact, there is a library of driving videos provided near the bottom. All you have to do is scroll down and watch example driving videos. Maintain consistency with your characters across frames. So, I suggest using a more trimmed-down version of the first frame, and this way you will get the best results from Toon Crafter. I mean, it's an absolutely impressive tool and works particularly well with animation effects that are common in anime movies. It has probably been trained on the entire library of Studio Ghibli films, and the reason it works so well for animation is that it was generated using this very specific animation library and uses a special learning method to focus solely on creating anime videos. So, you can just go for it. I have been using Mid Journey to generate my animations, and what I suggest you do is trim them a bit more. It doesn't even need to be a spectacular cut, just something that provides a bit of difference between these shots. Now you can go back to the replicated model, continue, and upload both images. You can decide if you want to zoom in or out, and when you're ready, all you have to do is hit play. It takes about 30 seconds to animate between two frames, but you have the option to add up to 10 frames, which will create much longer videos and also allow you to animate between different scenes. You can create this visually appealing effect of someone aging rapidly, but it also works well for fascinating changes between scenes where you can keep your character consistent but make them switch between different scenarios. What I love about Crea is that it gives you the ability to define the exact keyframes from which you want to make the transition, giving us a lot of control over how we want our videos to look and function.
