I you will not be. I will you will. Hello and welcome, exile, to the day five update to the Berserker slam character. You'll notice a lot of things changed, and mainly that's due to the fact I didn't really change my character since day two. I basically just farmed some gear and then waited until I had everything ready to do the swap. The reason for that being is like I know I wanted to go to make. I was pretty confident about using the gain as uh gigachad Doom Fletch mod on maze, but I was like I don't really want to swap my entire tree around before I know what other things I'm going to have res wise for other gear pieces. So, I went ahead and I assembled the mace, I assembled echo of creation, I assembled a good rare with armor, and then I assembled a few pieces like a belt with good life and res, some rings with good life and res, and then I went and made the swap. Now you might notice there's a very very

expensive amulet right here, and I want to dissuade you from being concerned. Right now, this amulet I have. I bought because I want it on the next character I'm going to play. You do not need this to level or play the character. It is a Simplex, which you know is a very expensive height base, which has 60 chaos, 200 life, and 39 all attributes. Comparably, you could have a chaos res roll, a hybrid chaos res roll, a res Catalyst on a rare, an all attribute roll, a life roll, and then you could have like a non-channel Minus cost, and effectively you would lose about 100 flat life, and that would be the difference between a what is I what was yesterday a 33 Divine base, and basically what is like a 1 to 2D Divine amulet. So hopefully that gives you some level of being like okay, I can do this. For example, I would recommend if you could get a double anoint with forces of nature and another decent enchant that.

would be a great approach. Or just doing a decent amulet that's already on the market. I just want to point out this. I bought specifically because I plan to use it on the next character I'm going to make, and I wanted to buy it before it just skyrocketed out of my price range. One of the things that happens on leak start is certain bases like Simplex amulet. They just they shoot up to the sky, and I wanted to snag it while it was still affordable. So that's why I used it. I knew it would be easiest to craft. I did a couple chaos re forges until I hit life in chaos res, and I called it a day. Ultimately does not make or break the character. I just want to stress that. Now let's go over to the bigger overall changes that occur and uh, hopefully I can make some sense. Now we were playing Ground slam. If you're wondering, can I still play ground slam? The answer is yes. I would recommend you go for higher conversion on your gloves, probably an

unveiled conversion, and then maybe try to level up your conversion from 10% to 20-25%, something like that. And then maybe you could go for a Conversion Mastery. You can make Ground Slam full elemental, or you could just keep a portion of the Ground Slam fizz, and that should still work pretty fine if you want to stick with Ground Slam. I swapped over to Volcanic Fisher because it has some innate conversion built into it, and recently I found out it shotguns more than I thought it did. Um, I'm going to showcase this real quick. Here I have a character set up in standard designed to test overlapping hits. That's this character I have right here, a test hit count. This is a character set up with a jewel called Golden Rule, which reflects poisons back to you so I can get an accurate count of how many times I'm poisoning an enemy. I like to test the fire dude, Abath, in Act Six because his first phase he doesn't have any

other enemies he's kind of a smallish Target so it gives you an accurate representation of how much shotgun hits you can expect on an enemy now originally when I tested this skill was probably more like half a year ago when I tested it. Half a year ago I could swear to you it felt like it hit one to two times and it was inconsistent. Occasionally you could get three. Recently before this league launch somebody told me in chat void he's like it always hits for three what are you talking about and I was like I'm not if that's true. Let's test it and we went ahead and he said he said if you set up in the right spot it always hits for three. So like if I'm here and I aim behind him he said it will always hit for three. You'll see there's three hits there poison sacks he said if you hit in the right spot it'll always hit for three and I was like okay sure that works but this isn't always consistent.

you don't always want to be right next to the enemy. And then I went around and I tested a few different angles like see if see if the if the enemy's moving, etc. What does that look like? So if I go like this, hit once, that's a three hit. Let's wait for that to cool down. It again, he's moving, that's a three hit. He's over here, that's a three hit. He's over here, one, two, three, that's a three hit. He's over here, one, two, three, four, that hit four times that time. What I'm getting at here is I don't know what happened, but I don't know if they made the AI better. I'm not sure, but Volcanic Fisher actually consistently hits for three times now, whereas previously I swear it was only hitting for 1.5 to two times average. And that makes a big difference because number one, they buff the effectiveness to of this skill quite a lot, and number two, um, that might make it one of the best melee skills not as

good as Zenith. It doesn't. It's not Zenith level, but in terms of like slam skills, it's up there. If you look at the skill gem, it hits for 318 base Effectiveness, which means you multiply that by three. You're looking at about a 900% base Effectiveness skill, which is very, very competitive with a lot of the other slams. Not only that, it has some of the best quality life of any slams. If you watch the video I started this whole video or watch the me clearing the sanctuary map, you'll notice I wasn't aiming at anything, but it was clearing ahead of me. It was clearing all around me. It's as autotargeting. You can turn off your brain, and it just goes and seeks out the enemies, and you don't have to really stress about aiming one direction or the other. The volcanic Fisher is going to go hit the enemies. You can also, to some extent, preload. For example, if a boss has like an in-between phase like that Uber liia there, there's

an in-between phase where you kill the Little Guardian and he's/she's still in the spinny phase. You can preload volcanic Fishers where they're just kind of floating around like a few of them because they have like four things. And then when she spawns, they'll all be like, Oh, let's retarget and hit her, and you can get some extra, basically preloaded damage that way. Ultimately, what I'm saying is this skill is kind of insane, and I don't know what changed with it, but the shotgunning hits is very consistent now, and it feels very good. So, that was the biggest change. We swap skills, ground slam still very good. You can still play this with this character. I think volcanic Fisher is better, especially when it comes to map clear in terms of feels goodness of it just going around heat seeking. The other big change was to the mace, and that was specifically because the mace has the gain as weapon lot this mod right here can roll from 30 to 50%. It is a massive.

damage increase, and it was one of the best possible weapon mods in the new benchcraft. I ranked it all the way up to 10, which is what you have to rank it to, in order to get access to this benchcraft. But if you look through the other bench mods, there's some that are competitive. Like, for example, the attacks return on swords. That's probably the best mod of the bench mods. But if you look through and you look at all the power mods, this one is definitely one of the best. And it's something where maces normally aren't that great in terms of competing with like an axe or competing with a staff because staff gets good crit, it gets block, axe just gets the higher base damage. But when you go and you give a weapon 150% more damage, in terms of gain, as that makes it real dang enticing. So that's what we have here. I'll scroll through some of these mods. You can pause the video if you want to look through them. And then, let's move on.

scroll through here now another advantage of doing uh maces we is we can do the most powerful node in terms of like a large cluster or one of the most powerful nodes which is Overlord. This gives you the value of basically taking the entire fortify wheel without having to take it. Gives this a nice 20% less damage taken. Very nice. Okay, so that's some of the more basic stuff. Let's get into the special things that made this character really pop off and feel really good. What am I doing to have a th000 energy Shield? I'm using corrupted Soul. Why am I doing this one? It splits the damage so I have EO of creation right now which deals physical damage to myself whenever I slam. I have four Auto war cry exerts rallying cry infernal cry seismic and intimidating. I'm automating all of those so every single time I attack an enemy I'm dealing 80% of my life life as physical damage to myself. Now you'll notice I have a big armor chest piece and I invested a lot of more

of my passives into armor on the tree. We actually get to about 670,000 armor without flask. With flask, it goes to about 990,000 armor with Mage blood. That would go probably north of 200k if you really invested into it, but that's besides the point. Now what's great about hitting ourselves with physical damage? Well, if I hit myself with physical damage and I prevent a lot of it, I heal my energy Shield. But I'm also combining that with untiring, which means when I prevent physical damage, I heal my life. So I can have a life es hybrid Berserker that's stealing The Jug node for untiring. And every time I hit the ground, I'm actually net healing myself quite a bit. Now you'll notice when you start out a Zone, the healing and the self damage is significant. And that's because initially we don't have endurance charges. We also don't have rage initially. A lot of my armor is tied to one endurance charges. You'll see 8%.

armor per endurance. We have 5% armor per endurance over here. We have uh, uh, what you call it, uh, Fizz reduction that comes from endurance charges. When we initially start out a Zone, we only have one endurance charge. And when we self-hit ourselves, you'll see it chunks us for quite a bit, right? That's a good 800-900 damage chunk. But you'll notice we already have full endurance charges, and that's due to enduring composure. So when we're hitting ourselves with this thing right here, we are generating enduring composure. And by the time we have six endurance charges, we no longer care about the self-damage we are dealing. I should also note, now that I have endurance composure, I didn't even change this yet, but I don't actually need um, 100% charge duration. Now I can swap this out for cannot be ignited, or I could swap it out for enemies can gain charges. I'll do cannot be ignited for now. I just didn't realize that I had swapped. My previous set, I needed the

endurance the charge duration, but now I don't need that. So we can just keep with this. And so the idea is you leap slam around and um, you just have a good time, basically. You just leap slam around. And now that we have basically a six endurance with all the extra armor, you 90k to 60k Armor Plus the endurance charges, that physical hit that was hurting us really good no longer hits us very hard. And every time we're slamming, we are building up that regen from hitting ourselves with Divine shield and untiring. Now when I did this initially, I wasn't sure how good untiring was going to be. I was like I had a theory. I didn't po any of this. I just was like let's see if this works. I'm going to shoot. I'm going to run with an tiring and see if it works. I bought the jewel for six of mon mines and I bought the blue one for 1.5 after I bought that people were speculating that were watching my stream.

is this going to be good? People started buying up the jewels, and then I fought my first boss, and I completely eviscerated it, and it was clear the build was going to be a clear winner. It's going to be a fantastic play, and it's going to dominate, and I think people bought up that Jewel, and I can't promise these are going to be affordable. If I control D this right now, if I go awen pu trade, and I try to control Theon tiing, let's see if it pulls up. Not going to let me pull it up. When my inventory here, there's one listed for 12. We'll see if that stays the same, but the point is it's a very limited market. You might be wondering, Okay, if this thing gets out of price, can I play the build? The answer is you can, but it's dependent on Lee. So if you see I leap slim around, my life pool's going down, but then I go over here and I'm leeching, and it's still fine. This is not going to

be the feels good defenses of the regen, but it's going to work if that makes sense. And you could also go, for example, and grab the Mastery here and change 10% lead for 25 recoup, and I believe that would also help. And you could invest in more recoup on your rings, and that would supplement untiring if you want to do it. That should work quite well for being able to play the build without untiring. And you could even go with something like unbreakable, which should up your armor quite a bit. And then you'd mitigate even more, and then you'd mitigate chaos, and you'd be more tanky for that stuff as well, which is an option if untiring gets too expensive. So I wanted to preface that right now for those interested. Um, I think I've explained most of the key mechanics outside that. It's basically all about getting good life rolls on all of your gear where you can, your boots, your gloves, your rings, your belt, your amulet, stuff like that. And then when it

comes to the armor piece, I just think you want to jack up the armor as much as possible. I'd recommend getting a high base percentile Royal plate that's item level 84 or higher. Maybe if you can get level 86, that'd be great. Then use dense fossil spam until you're above 5,000 armor and then go for some okay pre suffixes. I might end up swapping this to PDR originally when I was respecting the tree. I was thinking about reaching over and grabbing suppress. But ultimately, I felt like my character was tanky enough. I mean, I just showcased a t17 map with a th000 crit chance and 100% more life. I think we can say the build works pretty fine. If you're in hardcore, you can always drop some damage to get a little bit more defenses. You can go for Max res. You can force in suppress. You can do that stuff if you want to. But in softcore, we're still not dying very much and it's very, very feels good in terms of how.

this feels play um outside of all that uh yeah dense fossil spam. This chest piece and then you can grab the life Mastery for %. If you hit Life mods on the chest piece, you can't grab this Mastery. So that's why dense fossil is great, and it helps you roll the armor pretty well. And as for 8% defense, it's about a one in four to hit 8% defense with tailing orbs. Do it before you six link the chest, 'cause tailing orbs can break six links. All right, I think that goes over all the important factors of the build. I will say right now, you'll notice I'm on life, life tap. Oh, one thing I forgot, I'll go over life tap real quick. Life tap, basically I have my reserved unreserved life just barely above Mana. If you get a little bit more reservation efficiency with an Enlighten or something like that, then you could probably swap to higher damage support. That is if you get that done. So that's why we have LIF tap. Another thing I want you to note is I am

using a prismatic tinure. I actually like this quite a lot for just a I want to do DPS right now button. And the way it essentially works is I have 11 Mana regen. My total Mana is 600. Regen mana burn gives you 1% lose Mana per second uh and it generates every seconds. So by 2 seconds it'll have 2% mana burn. By Mana pool means 2% mana burn is about 13 Mana D gen per second something like that. The point is I have Mana Leach and I don't need that much time to kill a boss. It's a nice little button to press whenever you get to a guardian or your boss where you press it and it lasts for 1 1000 2 1000 3 1000 4 1000. It lasts actually a significant amount of time where you just have 100% damage and 17 ell pen. Would highly recommend it cheap little upgrade put it on your thing and then just use it as a little proc.

whenever you're about to deal single Target would highly recommend same thing with berserk. I don't really press that unless I'm up to up at a boss then I'll press it and I'll berserk and I'll take the boss out. That's sort of the idea. Yeah, that's the character. That's the update. I'll probably continue to upgrade this a little bit more and then make a full build guide but hopefully you guys enjoyed this Showcase of the uh of the volcanic Fisher Berserker or the slam character.
