And partner some of it. Are you able to say the name or it's called Trier? TR r i VV R. So you're a part owner of that. Yeah. How long you guys been doing that for about, uh, been working on the technology for 8 years. Eight years, wow. How much in can one make per year doing what you do in your position? When I, when we sell the company, somewhere between 800 million and 1 A5 million. 8, wow, okay. When you sell your company soon, how does one get into your shoes? Like, how do you start a company like that? I've had a software company before that I sold. I happen to be at a

bar restaurant. Okay, a guy sat next to me. I said, What do you do? He said, I'm in the software business. This is what I do. I said, I find that interesting. I want to get involved. That's the story, okay? And that's how that started. The story is, go out and have drinks and dinner as often as you can. Oh, 'cause you got to put yourself out there, yeah. How much did you sell your software company for? The last one, 30 million. 30 million, okay. So you're a real deal. Well, what banks do you use? Well, I use Citibank. Citibank, okay. May I ask why you use Citibank? Well, it's conveniently located, okay. I know the people there. I've been doing business with them for years, and they do a good job. Yeah, so someone that sold a company for 30 million and then potentially 800 million now. City, the way, yeah, okay. Oh man, thank you so much for your time. Appreciate it. How you doing, sir? What do you do for work? I have a construction company. Can you own a construction company? Okay, nice. Now, how long have you been doing that for? 18 years. 18 years. You like it? Love it. Now, how much can one make per year doing what you do in your position? You look at guys like that, millions and millions. How can one start a construction company like yourself? What are like the first three steps they got to do? Go to a trade school. Trade school first, trade, okay. Learn a trade, you know, get some experience, study, okay. Where do you get the experience from? Everybody's hiring in construction, okay. So, you have to be in the actual trenches, right? Well, no. I mean, you could go to school and, you know, study construction management. You can study, you know, estimating. There's just a wide variety of got things you go to school and learn. Okay, so that's number two. Now, number three, save some money. Save some money, okay. It's not that tough. It's not brain surgery, but it's not like, yeah, it's not like rocket.

science now. How did you find your first client for your Construction Company? Knocking on doors. Knock. Okay, so old school. Does that still work today? Yeah, yeah. So it's about the only thing that works. Okay, knocking on doors. Any doors that you recommend? Let's just say I started a construction company. I'm ready to go. Whose door should I knock on first? For us, we do just multifamily apartment stuff. So like the Irvine company that owns apartments, Western National, Amco, Essex, Archstone, you know. So knock on their doors, knock on their doors. Okay, knock on their door, introduce yourself. Okay, now last question. What banks do you use? Citizens, Citizens Business. Okay, why is that though? That's just a good bank. They take care of some things that we need personally. Okay, it's just like more like a personal relationship or... Okay, so do you think that's the most important thing when you're using a bank, is the relationship? In our case, it's pretty important, yeah. I so that for my man. Thank you so much for your time.

How long you been doing that for? Uh, about 15 years. 15 years. You like it? I love it. You love it? A puzzle that you get to solve every day, and you get it right, you do well, you know? Yeah, no, for sure. Now, how much can one make per year doing what you do? Seven figures is doable. Seven figures or more? Uh, but if you have enough capital, the eight figures. Eight figures. Have you hit that yet? I'm at the seven work. Okay, that's pretty, pretty good. Eight yet? Working on it. How long did it take you to get the seven-figure years? It took a few years. Few years. It's not like, it's not like overnight. I mean, you know, it's going to take probably at least four to five years minimum. Four to five years minimum. What are some practical

tips to get there, like how did you learn. You know, it took you a couple of years to make seven figures, but how did you do it? It took me longer than that. Yeah, I mean to learn. Like the first three years was just purely just experimentation, right? That's when I'm making nothing, yeah, and I'm doing it like on the side, yeah. And then when I went full-time, which I already spent three, four years learning it, went full-time, then it took another few years. So, it's a journey, and a lot of people think that trading is a get-rich. I think it's pitched that way, you know, by a lot of guys who might be selling stuff, trying to get people into some sort of course. And, you know, I have a trading education company, so no knock on education. If you have something good to teach, then teach it, yeah. Now, any recommendations when you were first starting? Where did you learn from? You know, when I started, I read a few books. Okay, so some books, all right.

but a lot of it was just spending a lot of time studying the market. You know, trying to really understand, Hey, how does the market work? How does it move? And it was just a lot of work. How does one study the market, though? Like, any pointers on that? I mean, again, you can start with some, you know, trading books. I like the Market Wizard series. You know, they're quite inspirational, if nothing else, right? They give you kind of an idea about different trading styles. Market wizard, you said? Market wizard. It's like a series of, like, I think, three or four books. Oh, um, where the author is interviewing some of the best traders in the world. Look that up, guys. So check that out, okay? No, no, um, banks in general, like where do you store your cash in general. I mean, you know, any big bank is fine, right? What do you use personally? I like JP Morgan. JP Morgan. Well, I don't really like Wells that much. Well, yeah, no, no, I've pulled money from Wells, but uh, you know, JP's nice. Capital One's pretty decent, actually. Okay, yeah. So, your favorite is JP? JP is probably the top one. What's the reason? Um, I just like their service, you know, and the government banks with JP, right? Like when you get your tax refund or whatever, like that treasury check is on JP Morgan, right? So, if it's good enough for the US government, it's good enough for me. W man. How long have you been doing this for? I've been trading for 30 years. 30 years? 30 or 31. Wow, okay. I'm 50 now. Oh, you're only, you're 50. You don't look like you're, you look younger. Oh, thank you. It's the Asian genetics, huh? Oh man, if I used sunblock, I would have looked younger. How much can one make for a year doing what you do? You know, uh, best year in a month. I've hit 500 in a month. 500,000. Wow. Now, how long did it take you to get that 500,000? 500,000 a month. Like, how many years did that take you? 17, 18 years. 17, 18 years to get there. Wow. Now, how long did it take you to get your first million? Was that

same year. Yeah, okay, wow, wow. Yeah, that's crazy 'cause the other trader said it took him, you know, five, six years. 'Cause it's a long game, right? Like, there's a lot of learning, a lot of educating yourself, right? Now, what are some of, like, the tips to get in your shoes and make the kind of money you make? Well, first of all, never give up. I'm passionate about it. Even if I won the lotto, I'd still trade. I just like the thought process behind it. So, you actually like the thing. I know there's a stereotype about Asians liking math. Can I fix a computer? No, that's one part where I'm kind of weak at. Um, so if you have passion for it, even though I've taken losses, and, you know, most people would quit, and I've taken the kind of losses where you question the whole career, right? Right, right. But if you love it enough, you'll keep doing it. So, um, and then I hate to say this, but maybe not even give yourself an out if there's

no other choice, yeah, like a non-negotiable, like you have to. I mean, I have a few, I guess I don't have three patience. So, as you get older, you learn it can be a long game. So, you know, some people, they like to get the quick hit in and out. You know, the key is not to lose. Yeah, if you don't lose, you don't have all this extra ground to make up. So, even if you make a tiny, tiny bit, a win's a win, profit is profit, right? Profit is profit. What would you recommend, like any educational courses or classes people can take at first starting? What's the best way to learn? I do have a degree in finance, but I didn't learn how to trade in school. I basically used to get in debates with the professors because they were really conservative. You know, YouTube is helpful. So, when I first started trading, I didn't even trade online. I looked at the previous day's Wall Street Journal. So, I looked at yesterday's prices and made a

phone call and then just try to figure it out with the broker, and obviously, the broker doesn't know for sure; otherwise, they quit and they trade. Yeah, but they make their commissions. You know, I went to a lot of seminars. I go to a lot of free seminars, seminars, free seminars. Any books you recommend? So, um, book I do recommend, and the gentleman that I got the book from was actually, I got it in Orange County. He's actually based in LA. It's um, Bill O'Neal, How to Make Money in Stocks. Okay, he's well now. It's his son that's the president of the Investors Business Daily Newspaper. Okay, okay. And so, I've told a lot of people to read the book. So far, only one person's read the book. Shout out to Marcel in LA. You need to read it multiple times. Now, the book is 400 pages. There's about 100 pages of charts, which you don't skip over. The 1880s ands of behavior exist no matter what the indry is. It's psychology, movement psychology, and then

the rest is the fundamentals, and it takes multiple reads. I read it, I think, three or four times. Okay, I still got to review it over and over again. That's one book I recommend, and the book, take notes, guys, read that book. The book does lead into the subscription to the paper. If you, well, now it's obviously online, it's no longer paper, so in myself, but it's almost like handing over the top 50 according to their filter on the silver platter, but it's good to understand how they think and why they make their decisions. Absolutely. What banks do you use? So, I have Chase, I have KKA, Navy Federal, DCU, NASA, USAA, Wells Fargo, okay, PNC, yeah, well, he has a lot. What's your favorite bank to use? Uh, I, I, I like Navy Fed. Navy Fed? Why, why is that? Well, they're, they're the largest credit union. They're very generous with their credit limits. The interest rates are, are really good. Okay, um, you know, if either you're, you served.

in the armed forces or a close relative or even a roommate. You can get in, and there's a lot of that stuff talked about on YouTube. But yeah, they've been very generous with their limits, and so I think everyone that's in that credit space, they seem to know about them. So, but my father happened to serve in the Marine Corps. Like, what's the uh, I was dating my uh boss's sister-in-law M, and she was in

I went to college and got a history degree so I'm in the food industry and is scheduling like pretty flexible or how's how's that work okay now last question shoot what banks do you use Bank of America why is that to my dad signed me up with 40 years ago when I opened up my first checking account so been with them ever since what are some of the benefits for Bank of America what do you say Ah that's a good question I don't get into the banking side of it too much outside of no one's taking my money and and they've done a pretty good job security-wise but I should probably go take a look at other Banks but I'm just kind of a creature of habit like that what do you do for work I am an art director art director where at um a property management place down the road here okay how long you been doing that

for uh I have been a creative director and graphic designer for 22 years. Sheesh, 22 years, 22 years. I'm with this spot for eight years. Okay, now how much can one make per year doing what you do? It's about 120, 130,000. Okay, 130,000. Now how can one become an art director? Um, one would go to graphic design school and learn uh, you know, all the ropes of design. How long does that take, the school, the school approach? Uh, there's two to three-year programs of her. Okay, so two to three-year program. And then after when you graduate, how do you become an art director from there? When you graduate, um, you would go into a job where you started as a junior graphic designer m and then work your way. Okay, okay. Now last question, who do you bank with? I bank with Chase. Why is Chase, you know, I have been with Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and this one just worked out to be the bestest. What's, um, what's beneficial about Chase? Um, you know what

the fact that it's been flawless. I have had no problems and always super nice customer service that always goes a long way, and no weird little charges or anything, and seems legit. You like what you do mostly? Now, how much can one make for a year doing what you do in your position? 300,000, 500,000. What are some tips to make that type of money as a lawyer? Um, besides going to school, passing the bar exam, most private practice, so working for a good Law Firm that's got a good reputation, okay, that are ethical guys and women and U, that has good diversity in The Firm, that um, allows you some time to live as well, okay. Uh, so like, is there any like a specific practice, like does it have to be a specific category? I'm not good with law term, sorry, but no, you're, is it um.

like like what has more money in. Is it like criminal? Is it um, you know, contracts? I don't know, like they criminal lawyers that make a lot of money because they've done very well, and they're well known, and they demand the big bucks. Yeah, and there's got guys who do criminal law who make very little money. I mean, it just varies, hasn't it? How hard what did you practice in? I'm a general practitioner. Oh, okay. Do you own this Law Firm, or who do you bank with? Like, what banks do you recommend? I bank with Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo. Do you like Wells Fargo? Mostly. What's the reason why you bank with them? They're close. They're close, and I've got a personal relationship with the banker there. They'll do things for me that they wouldn't otherwise do because if they don't a long time. Yeah, I think what we got out of this video is that it's about the relationships with the banks, the convenience, no hassle, right? If you got all that together, there's no, there's not
