Moreover, today, the U.S. market was really not good. Now, let's take a look at which stocks rose overall in the U.S. market today. If you look at the chart, they all fell. Falling means most stocks dropped, and among them, standing out brilliantly alone, were King, Google, and Apple. Apple, King, and Google were there, and Apple, as a result, hit a historic all-time high. But why did Apple rise so much today? In fact, as those of you who watched my video yesterday may know, there was the Apple developer conference, WWDC, where the keynote was held.

I gave a keynote speech, and there were things related to Apple's artificial intelligence. For example, although many features were introduced, to summarize, now Apple's Siri is connected to GPT and has been upgraded to be smart enough to answer very complex questions well. When this was announced, the market was actually disappointed, and Apple's stock price dropped by nearly 2% on that day, which is yesterday. So, what exactly happened today? Therefore, I gathered a few reasons. First of all, there was a reason for me. It's better to go against the crowd. This is what I think as the first reason. Recently, as those of you who have seen my videos know, when a tech company usually presents our technology at a conference, I usually go, Wow, it's so.

The technology is excellent. I always used to talk about it like this, but yesterday, while watching WWDC, it was a bit disappointing, to be honest. There wasn't anything new beyond my expectations, just the usual stuff. So, from my perspective, it was disappointing. Especially during the Open AI presentation, I was like, It's so good, but for the first time in a long time, I was disappointed with Apple's presentation. Because I expressed my disappointment, I made a negative video, and as a result, the stock price went up in the opposite direction of that video. The second reason for the rise is that with the demand for the new iPhone replacement, as Apple equipped this time with artificial intelligence features, it seems that people will replace their iPhones a lot with the new one from Apple.

Among the iPhones that are currently available, only the iPhone 15 Pro has the feature. So, in fact, it is said that only a very small number of phones that Apple has sold so far. In other words, when a new iPhone is released, there is a higher chance that people will buy more iPhones. Bloomberg had expectations that Apple's artificial intelligence would captivate customers' hearts overall. Additionally, research companies on Wall Street, like Davidson, mentioned that they expect an increase in iPhone sales. Bank of America also made a significant prediction, but what is this significant prediction? They conducted a survey on what people have owned among the iPhones released so far. When they looked at the iPhones owned by most iPhone owners in the U.S., they saw that they mostly owned iPhone 11, followed by iPhone 13.

People are scared. Most Americans have iPhone 11 to 13, but in fact, iPhone 11 has been out for quite a while, around 13. So, in a situation where people have old iPhones, even if they upgrade those phones, they can't have AI functions. But anyway, this time, Apple has introduced a new AI iPhone. So, wouldn't people want to replace it? This kind of logic is starting to be formed. And the third reason, which is quite interesting, is that Apple announced something to pay attention to. One of the things Apple is dealing with is AI, especially responding to AI-related requests from Apple's customers on devices, so it can be processed on smartphones, even when the commands are somewhat complex and difficult.

You can send requests to the server for processing, but according to this Apple presentation, the server that runs is called Apple Silicon. What is Apple Silicon? It refers to the semiconductors designed by Apple. So, what does this mean? It means that the chips Apple has created this time are of such quality that they can be put into practical use. Think about it for a moment. When the new iPhone is released, and people start using all the artificial intelligence functions, how much traffic will be directed to Apple's servers? However, they have the confidence to handle all of this traffic, and the chips to handle it have already been designed to some extent. The real significance of this is that at least Apple seems quite capable of handling a significant portion of the traffic they need to bear, especially in terms of artificial intelligence inference. They seem to have moved away from being dependent on Nvidia in these areas, of course.

Apple is one of the companies that do not provide cloud services like Google Cloud, which makes it possible, but at least among big tech companies, it can be said that they are the most independent from Nvidia. So, I think we really need to focus on this point. Therefore, Mr. JJ's view, who uses Twitter, a friend of mine, anyway, Apple's intelligence announced last night is not about incorporating Siri into the chip, but rather about expanding on-device AI and cloud AI using their own chips. They are preparing a development platform for developers to create various AI models. In other words, the strong determination not to depend on Nvidia's OpenAI is the key point. This is what was mentioned, and I totally agree. Also, it was mentioned that they will collaborate with companies like AI to work on chip design.

When Microsoft held a conference, they only put up three arts on stage. Of course, now Microsoft has a lot of shares, but anyway, this time, the three arts just watched from the audience. There weren't as many mentions of PowerPoint as I thought, so we will do all the AI-related things. It felt like only a small part is collaborating with PowerPoint, emphasizing what Apple is doing. Even Mr. Goblin Hacker, who is active in the field, also made similar remarks. Apple has at least escaped from Nvidia's dependence in the inference area and service area. That's the point. And the fourth reason Apple has risen is because that's how it was originally. What I mean is, if I really knew this, I would have mentioned it. From 2014 to 2023, on a daily basis, people were always disappointed and the stock prices dropped. However, after about three months, when the stock prices regained their senses, they mostly increased. So, people's tendency was to be negative on the first day, saying it's not good, but as time passed, they tended to view it more positively. Come to think of it, I think I'm a bit like that too. This is the kind of story. And there was someone who heavily criticized Apple's announcement, right? Who was it? Ding ding, Elon Tusk, no, Elon Musk appeared. So, what did Elon Musk say this time? He mentioned that Apple's artificial intelligence features this time are handled by Apple itself, but for some features, they receive assistance from OpenAI. So, they receive assistance from OpenAI, but...

Receiving ultimately means it is processed on the server, and being processed on the server means that the user's information on the iPhone is transferred to the server. This can be seen as a source of significant dissatisfaction. Elon Musk criticized Apple, saying that if Apple cannot create an AI as smart as OpenAI, yet still claims to protect the security and personal information of OpenAI users, it is absurd. Apple has no way of knowing if OpenAI is actually working when they simply hand over user data. They are essentially selling you down the river. In short, once OpenAI data is transferred, Apple will not be able to control it properly. This is a huge problem. That's the story. Therefore, what did Elon Musk say about OpenAI and Apple is quite a significant issue.

When integration happens, at that time, they said they would ban the use of Apple devices altogether. This is quite, quite what should I say, a strong backlash was provoked. Of course, what we need to be careful here is, now it's a conditional sentence. If Apple and OpenAI integrate like this, if this integration happens, well, of course, what the meaning of this integration is, only Elon Musk knows, but anyway, it showed a significant dissatisfaction with the fact that user data is transferred to the server.
