On February 19th, 2023, a deputy noticed a vehicle with excessive tints and ran its tag, revealing the driver's license was suspended. When the deputy initiated a stop, the suspect refused to provide identification, claiming her boyfriend had been the one driving. Hey, are you the registered owner? Yeah. Do you have your driver's license? What happened? Do you have your driver's license? Sure. What happened? Is anyone else here with you? Yeah, my... Are you waiting for him? Yeah. Okay, can I have your driver's license, please? Um, for what? Yeah, I'm not driving. Who's driving? My boyfriend. I'm just sitting here, and he has a valid license. What's his name? What? Thank you. What's... What's... I need his full name, man. Hey, Jada, I need your ID. I'm investigating the tint on your car. Said now she's investigating. I bought the car like... Okay, let me have your ID. I don't know, Jada. Are you going to give me your ID? Huh? Wait, what did I do? I'm investigating.

Hey, let me tell you what's going on. So, I was sitting in my car waiting on another car, and uh, this girl comes out putting her stuff in the car, looking at me like a million times. So, I run the tag. She's suspended, okay? I see the tint dark. Uh, she's sitting here a long time. It appeared to me she's waiting for me to leave because she knows she's suspended. Um, I know the car didn't magically arrive at this location. I approached her. I asked for her license. She why, why. I said, Hey, your license is suspended. Oh, I'm... She was sitting in the driver. I'm not driving the car. Like, All right, let me have your ID. And she rolls up the window and uh, knock. She rolls. I say, Hey, I'm doing

a tint investigation and who's driving the car to oh my boyfriend. Where is he? She closes the window. She says she's on the phone with her boyfriend, tells me he's in the bathroom. That was quite some time ago. She moved over to the passenger side and I mean now I have resisting but this is where I'm at. I'm G. This boyfriend's not coming from the bathroom obviously. Yeah, you can't see into the car at all. It's really dark. T is she which SE is she in. Hey Jada, I need you to open the door and talk to me. You need to step outside the vehicle and talk to me. What happened? I'm literally sitting in my car. I okay. I need you to cooperate right now. You're resisting. I'm trying to understand what the what I do. Yeah, come outside. I'm stopping your car. It has illegal tint which is a non-moving violation. I bought the car like this. Get out of the car right now. Where's your boyfriend at? He's literally coming. He's in the bathroom.

I think she's scared um because it's none of this would have been a big deal, but she was uncooperative and lied a lot, which is resisting. Okay, so that's where I'm at now. That's the big issue. Um, she said that you were inside the store. We checked the whole store. We checked cameras for you to be inside the store. She said you were in the bathroom pooping. Um, my partner went inside the bathroom and checked the bathroom. Um, um, it like none of this would have been that big a deal, but she

gave us a lot of gave me a lot of false information and was resisting throughout my investigation. So um I take it you were not you did not drive the car here. Um no I no I didn't. Okay and does so does she normally drive the car. Um I mean it's her car. It's her car. Did you know her license was suspended. No I didn't. Okay all right time is it unlocked. Yeah hey J I am going to read you your warning of constitutional rights your Maran rights and then I'm going to see if you want to talk to me. The Constitution requires I form you that you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be used in court as evidence against you. You're entitled to talk to an attorney now and have him present now or anytime during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney one will be appointed for you without cost. You don't have the physical license. Okay, actually, they didn't take that, but I lost it. Okay, all right. So I have a regular IDE. Okay, like a government. Okay, so you are being arrested for resisting, and then because you have the other charge, Char, which I was just going to give you the criminal citation in a court date, you are going to be charged with that. No, at this point, I can't do that. No, ma'am. Um, the thing is, just like when you came up, I was more so not like trying to be disrespectful, but it's like I'm confused, you know, like as to what I did, 'cause like you came up in SP, and I'm like, I don't know what I did. I knocked on the window. I'm not an aggressive person, and I told you I was going to conduct a tint.

investigation and you repeatedly said to me for ID and I don't physically don't have my ID. You could have said that so I'd like you to step out of the car. I'm going to put you in my vehicle. Thank you, my okay, no problem. All right, I'm going to take you over my car. I'm going to do a proper search of you. Was there something in the vehicle you didn't want us to find? All right, I am going to just open the door. Please don't get in it and no, don't get in. Just face the flag and I am going to search you. You can't just this one time. No ma'am, anything I can do to change your mind. Hold on, no ma'am, come. It's okay, I just you don't want him to see you with your hair. You're going over there, my eyes, you okay? Do you have anything hidden? No, all right, I'm going to fix you up. I'll put the hood on. I'm not giving you back the Bonnet, okay.

Okay, do you live alone? Do you live with your parents? Yeah, my go. Okay, all right. Um, have a seat in the car. Do you want to take the bonnet with you? They're not going to let you wear it at jail. Or I could give it to the boyfriend. I'll just take it. Okay, all right. Have a seat. Your foot. She was charged with driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest. All of this could have been avoided if she had told the truth.
