why most people don't invest and why they're [Music] wrong. BR. I am so excited to talk about this because I feel like so many people fall into this trap. There's something that happens, there's something that scares them that causes them not to invest. But you know what's not scary? Subscribing to the Money Guy Show right now. Fear, greed play just amazing roles in our lives, productive and unproductive, right? And I think back, you know, in the past, fear was obviously probably a very powerful thing to keep us away from danger. I mean, you know, we literally have this fight or flight. So fear was probably when you know your hair stands up and you realize all your senses need to be energized and your heart gets pumping. That worked out well, and fear can even help you now in our modern society. Emergency reserves, CU, you want to make sure you

have money. You don't make those desperate decisions. It also, you know, keeps you from going too crazy into the debt if you have a healthy relationship with understanding the risk that are involved with it. But fear has kept a lot of people from actually really powerful and good things as well, like investing, or it can make them make really bad investing decisions. Like when the markets freak out and there's a lot of volatility, fear can cause you to sell everything and want to go to cash, or can make you decide, Okay, well, I don't have enough, so either I'm never going to save because I'll never have enough, or I'm going to be a miser and I'm never going to spend because I'll never have enough. The fear of that can also cause you to make very suboptimal financial decisions. And then, I've mentioned this before, but I think it's worth repeating, is that I think that when you understand the concept of fear and risk and all the other things, it can lead you to make

some unique decisions. This is what feels very safe in the short term can actually be very risky in the long term. And if you flip that upside down, the things that if you think about what in the short term can feel like the scariest or worst decision might actually be the most beneficial for you. So we want to kind of peel open the curtains and really help people understand how do you navigate this whole fear of investing. Yeah, we're going to walk through five reasons why people are investing, but why you should hear them, understand them, and you should behave differently. So let's jump right into the very first one, Brian. One of the reasons that people say they don't invest, they say, I'm scared I'll lose all my money when it comes to investing. It just feels like gambling. Well, I mean, it's even worse than that. There's a stat out there that says that 55% of Americans think investing is as risky as gambling, and that one breaks my heart because gambling is literally counting on luck.

to be to to to create an opportunity for you. Investing is something so far from that once you understand it, and that's why we're here to give you, educate you, give you the content so you can actually put this in the right context so you don't miss out on this great opportunity. Yeah, gambling, pure chance, investing, very different. You're actually buying ownership of something when you buy a stock. You were buying a small fractional share of ownership in a specific company. So when you go buy a share of Apple stock, you are now an owner of Apple as a corporation. Well, when you go to buy an index fund, you're buying a basket of goods, a basket of companies, a basket of stocks. So you're actually owning a lot of different things. You're not trying to gamble and guess, is this going to be good or is this going to be bad? You're saying, I am buying a portion of this company. I'm going to participate in the future growth of this company or companies that I'm buying into. You just said something

that's powerful because you can, by the way, speculate even with the stock market. You can go pick one stock, you know, bet the farm on it, and hope that it turns out. Maybe you get rich, but there's also a chance that it just doesn't work out. That's speculating because you're basically gambling on this one thing. We're talking about something much more balanced where, instead of trying to beat the market, you just are the market. That's why I love index investing. But I want to kind of go a step further, Bo, is that because I want to lean into why this is not gam and you're in. I want to remember you can always zoom out, look at what the history of investing has looked like. Yeah, when we think about the stock market or stock market returns, and you think about it on a day-to-day basis, it does seem kind of crazy. It's wildly volatile. If you look at this, this is the S&P 500 for those of you out listening to the

podcast on September 16th of 2024, and if you're looking at this, you can see that it was up for some of the day and then down for some of the day and up and down and up and down. And in one day, it looks kind of frenetic, but then if you zoom out and you look at one month, well, now there's a little bit less volatility on the one month. From August 16th until September 16th of 2024, the S&P 500 actually made about 1.5%. If you zoom out even further to one year, even less volatility. Well, I think it's interesting, even on this one year. Now we're unique. We're looking at September of 2023 to September 2024. I don't see the 'cause every year typically has about a 14% intra-year volatility swing from the highs and lows of the year. This year was pretty relatively is a good year to be an investor, but I want people to know volatility still happens even on a one

year. That's when and doubt zoom out. That's still still not long term. So let's talk about something that's more long-term, like what happens when you're an investor for 10 years. Yeah, that volatility returns. You do see the up and downs, but if you look at the 10-year period from September of 2014 all the way through September of 2024, the S&P 500 made 182% in terms of total return. Now yes, there was volatility, there were ups and downs, but ultimately it was moving in the positive direction. And this is something that I love repeating, especially whenever we are in these up volatile periods. If you look at this graph of the 10 years of the S&P 500, this is literally when I give you the visual of you are walking up a mountain with a yo-yo. Yes, the market is going up and down, but even with the volatility of the ups and downs of that yo-yo, you're going to higher and higher ground. That's what you see with investing, and that's

just 10 years. What happens when you go to 20 years? Yeah, it's pretty wild when you think about one-time occurrences aren't necessarily what happened in the stock market. The stock market is pretty consistent through time, even in different economic cycles, even in different market environments. And there was a great illustration put together by Ben Carlson that shows looking back from 2004 all the way until 2024. If you were to start investing in those years, what annualized return would you have received? And you can see if you're looking at the visual that by and large, most of the time, the returns are positive. And if you could give yourself at least five to six years investing, there was not a period in time over that 20-year period that you would have not made money, that you would have had a negative rate of return. So if you can invest and you can give yourself time for your money to work, this becomes a lot less like gambling. It looks a lot more like a sure thing over the long term. Yeah, and

that's why it's so interesting because gambling. We all know the house wins. I mean, you go out to Vegas and you see huge mega structures that you know are paid for off of the losses because the house has the edge. It's the exact opposite when we're talking about invest. If you appropriately do this, you actually have the edge because something unique about humans is that we like to innovate, we like to expand, we like to develop, and that's that we often talk about the law of accelerating returns. You can own that, you can actually be a part of that generation of additional wealth. You know, when people were scared about artificial intelligence, just like they were scared of the internet, just like they were scared of personal computers, all these things led to tremendous opportunity that you can be a part of if you just invest in the index funds. So, what can you do? Obviously, recognize that fear is a real thing and we all deal with it. So, number one, we need to educate ourselves, understand how the markets work, understand what is true.

about the markets, and then we can use strategies to help mitigate that risk, to adjust it, to make sure the risk that we're taking on appropriately matches our risk tolerance as well as our risk capacity. And look, yes, investing is going to have volatility. That's why you got to talk about those things you can control. I'm talking about do you have the appropriate cash reserves, do you have the right asset allocation. Yes, when you're in your 20s, you can be super aggressive, wide open, but by the time you get in your 50s and 60s, you're going to be dialing that down so you're not running up the scoreboard after you've already won the game. Understand where you are in this journey and make sure you're balancing the risk-reward, the fear, the greed, and you'll be in a much better place. So, Brian, let's talk about another reason why, a second reason why a lot of people avoid investing, and it generally goes something like this: the market is about to crash. Shouldn't I

wait and right now we're at a point where the Market's hitting new all-time highs, and so we're hearing this over and over: Market's going to crash, Market's going to crash, I'm going to wait for the downturn, wait for the downturn, wait for the downturn. I don't know that that would be the most prudent strategy when it comes to investing. Well, here's the problem. I hear you. You know, whenever you get in these all-time high periods, like, man, well, it can't. Trees don't grow to heaven, so it just ought to wait until this thing crashes. I even heard Brian in a previous segment. He just said intra-year ups and downs are 14%. Why don't I just wait for that? The problem is we don't know when they're going to be, and most, and nobody knows. I mean, it's just like I just. We had a chart that showed 2023 from September 2023 to September 2024. Pretty smooth sailing, not a lot of volatility. Would you have been okay

If you waited a year, and that's the problem you run into, is because when you historically look at how often markets are up versus they're down, you might be waiting a while. So we even thought, let's do this the money guy way, let's actually create a case study where we said, let's take three people, and Bo walked them through this case study where we have the best of the best, the worst of the worst, and then my favorite is a person that just kept driving through it no matter what's going on in the world. Trying to time the market is never going to work out perfectly, but for realistic purposes, let's look at three different investors. Let's look at unlucky Olga, who's going to time the market, and unfortunately, she is going to invest at the absolute worst time. So she's going to invest right before giant market downturns, and then we're going to compare that to Billy the best, who actually times the market and gets it absolutely perfect every time he puts his money to work. It is in a market.

bottom, and then we're going to look at our third counterpart, DCA Diane, who's just going to invest the exact same amount every month. So, we have the worst market timer ever, the best market timer ever, and then just a consistent investor. We're going to assume that they're all investing from 1980 until 2022, so this is a 42-year period, an entire working career. We're going to assume that all three of them make the average income in 1980, which was $1,513, and they're all financial mutants that save 25%. So, they're going to save $26.70 a month. For unlucky Olga, she is going to stack it in cash until she puts her money to work at the worst possible timing. For Billy, the best, he's going to stack his money in cash until he puts it to work at the absolute best timing. But DCA Diane is going to put her money to work every single month. So, they're going to be investing the exact same number of dollars. We're also going to assume they

all invest in the exact same thing, the S and P 500. They're not going to try to pick stocks, they're not going to try to shift allocations, they're just going to buy the broad index. So, let's see how this plays out. Unlucky is going to say, Give up her money, and she's going to invest at the market peaks. That means there are a few different times that she invests: August of 1987, July of 1990, September of 2000, October of 2007, and then again in January of 2020. Worst timing ever. It is kind of amazing though, why looking at the visual. This for all of my podcast listeners who can't see this is that even though this is the worst investor, meaning she saved up her cash just when she went into the water, the markets just got crushed right before. She still looks pretty good. I mean, I don't know what we're going to see in a minute where the numbers actually came out, but visually, she's ended up making a decent chunk of money, which is pretty. So, you can even be

bad and still be a winner. It certainly seems that way. Let's look at Billy the best. Remember Billy? He's going to stack his cash, and he's going to invest at the market bottom. So rather than doing what Olga does, he invests in October of '87, in October of '90, in October of '02, in March of '09, and then in March of '20. So he writes for the bottom and puts his money to work. So then the third, the last is DCA Diane, and she's just going to invest her $200 and some odd dollars every single month into the S&P 500. Not think about it, not time it, just let her money work for it. What's interesting, I'm ready to see the results, but I do think it's interesting that essentially Billy, Billy the best, which makes me think of Karate Kid every time I hear that. I won't sing it, but it is one of those things where this is literally Biff having the sports almanac. That's right, he knew exactly when to save up.

all of his cash and then put it in the market to maximize the opportunity. That's got to be the best scenario, of course. You would think Billy has to be the best one, right? So, let's see who came out ahead. All of them invested the exact same dollar amount. They all put to work in 2022. She ended up with over $1.1 million. That's amazing. That's an incredible sum of money to have accumulated over an entire working career. Billy, as you would have guessed, did do a little bit better. Rather than 1.1, he ended up with almost $1.8 million by perfectly timing the market. But man, it took some skill and it took some finesse and DeLorean and a DeLorean Sports Almanac. But when you look at DCA Diane, all she did was put money to work every single month on a consistent basis. She actually ended up with almost $2.1 million. Just showing up and participating in the market was better.

than timing it perfectly over 42 years. This is why people often ask me, they find out what we do for a living, and they say, Brian, what do you think the market's going to do? And I always hesitate. I don't like giving an answer on that 'cause I don't, we don't know. I mean, we read the tea leaves just like everybody else, but I always make, I end it by saying, But here's the thing. I'll tell you next month I'm going to be buying. I'm always going to be buying because this, I know the numbers, and I've seen this. Even if I had the sports almanac, it doesn't put you ahead because I just know that with the law of accelerating returns, the desire of humans to continue to innovate, and not the inability to predict what's going to happen because we live in this crazy irrational world in the short term, but in the long term, things work out, and I just keep doing it. So I want to talk

about Bo, we talk about time in the market is so much more valuable than timing the market. This seems to be proof of that. Absolutely, it's 100% proof of it. So, what do you do? How do you take this and apply this to your financial life? Think about dollar-cost averaging with automated investments so you don't have to think about it. Don't even look at the markets. Don't think about it. You should be focused on your savings rate, thinking about how much am I saving, how much am I putting to work. Set it, and I'm going to say quote-unquote forget it, but don't try to time it. Make sure you have your money going to work because if the markets go up, great, your portfolios grow, and you're making money. If the markets go down, great, you're buying in at lower and lower levels. It's a win-win scenario. Don't let where the market is today be a deterrent from you putting your money to work, and it's worth repeating, always be buying. I mean, that's the thing if

I was the takeaway. Don't let the news media, don't let the political cycle dissuade you from actually just keep that ABB going because that's where markets make money eight out of 10 years historically. That is a pretty amazing thing. Don't just emotion-proof your life. Always be buying. All right, thing attacked me again. All right, right. Let's talk about the third reason why people often don't invest. They come up with an excuse like this. Hey, you know, I've got plenty of time. I'll do it later. For whatever reason, there's going on today. I just can't invest today, but that's okay. I'll do it tomorrow or next week or next month. When it comes to investing, procrastination is not your friend, everybody. This is a human nature fault of our behavior, and by the way, don't take our word for it. It doesn't just impact investing. If you think about I, I when I see stats like this, 48% of American adults don't have life insurance, not

good. I mean, if you're not financially independent, you have people living off of what you create. You probably ought to go buy some term life insurance. It's cheap, it's easy, but people don't do it. They procrastinate. 54% of American adults don't have a form of will. It's, you know, these people have children, yep. And yet, and if you don't have a will because it's an uncomfortable conversation with your spouse to who's going to take care of the kids, how do you think it's going to be when you're not here? So if people are sleeping on these big decisions, it makes complete sense that a lot of people, especially when you're starting out, they go, man, I just can't afford to invest. You know how expensive of it all is. I would rather, I'll just, I'll start next year, maybe I'll even save a little bit more. We procrastinate. So I felt like this is another one of those times, Bo, we ought to do a case study to show people, Lord

knows we already have 88 times over. We have the Koozies. We have everything. We do the wealth multiplier. If you go to money.com resources, but a good case study is going to show you the importance of starting early and doing it often. If you don't believe it, we say all the time the best time to start investing was yesterday. So, that means the second best time is today. Well, if you don't believe us, look at these numbers. Let's assume that we have three different investors. We have Alvin, Simon, and Theodor. I wonder where those names came from. Alvin is a go-getter, right? When he graduates college, he says, You know what? I'm gonna start saving, and I'm gonna save for the first 10 years, and I'm going to do it aggressively. I'm going to save $500 a month every single month from age 20 to age 30, and then when I get to 30, I'm going to stop saving. I'm going to do the hard work.

early on, and then I'm going to rest and enjoy myself. Simon is a little bit of a late bloomer. Simon says, You know what? I just don't have any money in my 20s. I'm not going to save. I'm not going to start saving at all till I get to 30. But when I get to 30, I'm going to save $500 a month, every month, and I'm going to do it all the way until I get to 60. So, I'm not going to save early on, but man, am I going to do the hard work of saving tomorrow. And then Theodore says, You know what, guys? I'm just going to stay consistent. I'm going to do $500 a month, every month, starting at age 20. I'm going to do it all the way until 60. Well, so we can already figure out Theodore saves the most, and Simon saves the second most, and Alvin does not save the most, but he gave it the most time initially. Him and Theodore understood the value of

compounding interest and letting their time work. So, let's see how the numbers played out. Alvin invested a total of $60,000. Well, because he did give at the time, his $60,000 turned into $1 million. $60,000 turned into a million. Now, that's... We didn't misspeak, by the way. That's the part I often tell people is you're... If you start early and do it often enough, when you get to retirement, the lion's share of your money at retirement is not going to be your contribution. It's actually going to be the compounding growth. You just have to give it enough time. As you can see here, Alvin just does 10 years. 10 years. 10 years. That's it. But surely, but surely, Simon turns out better. Remember, he's going to save from age 30 all the way till 60, where when you look at his numbers, he saves three times as much. He saves $180,000, but his terminal portfolio value is only $745,000. He saved three

times as much and ended up with $300,000 less than Alvin. That's how important time was. This is something when I talk to people and say go to money.com resources and look at our wealth multiplier tool as where as our downloads. When I talk about for a 20-year-old, every dollar has the potential to become $88. For a 30-year-old, every dollar has the potential to become $23. That 10 years is pretty powerful. It doesn't mean don't fall asleep. Just you listen to this show for the first time when you're 34, 35 years old and go, Oh my gosh, I guess I missed out. No, because every dollar for a 40-year-old is $7. So you still are in the getting as good phrase even in your 30s, but you just got to make something happen today. But then what about our third one? What about Theodore who said, You know, I'm going to stay consistent, invest the whole time. Well, he saves $500 a month, and over the course of his working career, he saves a

total of $240,000, but his $240,000 saved ends up at $17 million. If you can start saving early and you can save consistently, time will do the hard work for you, but you've got to start today. That's why I mean what do we do. So I want everybody seriously, and I don't care if you have to deposit, come back. I really want you to lean into this because I'm asking for 30 minutes. I want everybody who's watching this to go through the exercise. Do you have a Roth IRA? Check your Roth IRA. Do you have one? Do you have one set up? Have you automated the contributions, meaning every month you're putting in that contribution into your Roth IRA? Is your money being invested? Don't let it just sit in cash. We did a show recently where I was shocked at how much of Vanguard's money on rollover assets and so forth just sitting in cash because people didn't realize it was a two-part transaction. You have to invest the money.

I mean, you have to transfer or contribute the money, then you have to invest it, do this part, so make sure that Roth is set up. Now let's talk about your 401k. There's a reason when you look at the financial order of operations, this is step two. How many of you have the opportunity to get a 50 to 100% guaranteed rate of return if you'll just participate in your employer plan? We do employer plans where we even have one that we put if you put in 5%, the employer's going to put in an additional 10. So it's 15 for five. It's amazing. And yet we'll have over 30% of the participants will not do it. I don't want you to be part of that. Don't sleep on that. Figure out what your savings rate is, figure out what your employer is putting in there, make sure you're maximizing this, get to it, because this is the part that I mean we're not asking.

for a lot, a little. If you give us a little small decision, it really will create that great big beautiful tomorrow. Remember, the best time to start was yesterday; the second best time is right now. So, Brian, let's talk about the fourth reason why folks are scared to invest, or maybe why they don't invest. It's because they have this mindset or this idea: I don't have enough money to invest. I'm not one of those wealthy people. I didn't come from that family. Life is too tight; things are too tight. I just don't have any money to put to work for myself right now. And look, I want to be sensitive to this one because this is one I get it. I mean, post-inflationary period, post-pandemic, we've had some tough goes at it. If you're just now starting out because resources are being squeezed through price increases and other things, but a little goes a long way. It really is back to that point, and I hate it because I

grew up in a household where my parents were disciplined. They were good on living unless they made, but they just had trouble actually turning that discipline or that margin and money that it created into investments where the money could actually work for them. So, I want you to break through. We have a thing that we want to show on the screen, is that there's a myth that investing is only for the rich. Yeah, that's not true at all. In reality, when it comes to investing, when it comes to putting your money to work, it doesn't take a ton, and it certainly doesn't take a ton just to get started. It is false that investing is only something for the rich, only something that wealthy people can do. And if you don't believe us, one of the most interesting indicators, one of the ways that we can back this statement, is that we know that teachers are number three in careers most likely to create millionaires. Now, when you think about high-paying, high-salary, high-earning jobs, teachers

are not the ones that you often think of. You think of lawyers or doctors or specialists in those kind of fields, and yet teachers have figured out and found a way that through consistent savings through time, they can actually get to millionaire status. I think it's, I'm going to give a lot of credit to educators in the fact that this is a profession you go into it knowing you're not going to be highly paid, sure. Um, and it's typically this group though is very disciplined and methodical with their behavior, and that's the whole point of this exercise is to show you that it's not always how big the shovel. Yes, the big shovel helps, the more you make, the more important, but your behavior is a lot of this. You know, we, you know, you hear Dave and Ramsey solutions, they talk about 80% is behavior, and I'm going to give them credit on that. I think that a lot of this is driven by are you actually doing the steps, are you taking action to actually create positive activity and momentum in your life, and

That's why once again I think a case study can really illustrate this even better. It does not take a lot, so let's look at an individual. Let's look at Twia, who is 25 years old and doesn't have a ton of money to save, doesn't have a ton of money. Where to start? How much is she going to invest a month? She's going to start with $25 a month. That was not a miss. $25 a month. That's, by the way, when I first started investing in the '90s. Do you realize your minimum investment had to be like, if you want to do Vanguard, I'm trying to remember if it was $300 or $500 a month. They wouldn't even talk to you until you could do this much a month to set up a systematic plan. I think every one of these big providers, whether it's Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, they really have taken away all their minimums 'cause the technology's gotten so good. You literally can set up $25 a month, so you don't even have to remember.

$100 a month is what changed my life. It's even a fourth of that now, so don't sleep on this. So, she's going to start saving $25 a month, and every year she's going to increase her monthly savings by $25 a month. So, this year it's $25 a month, and then next year it's going to be $50 a month, and the year after $75 a month, and she's going to do that every year of her working career. When she gets to the end of her 40-year career, she'll be saving $1,000 a month at age 65. So, I do not think that this is a crazy assumption. I think this just shows that if you can just start somewhere and you can get better through time, it can be pretty remarkable. Because at the end of Twilight's career, when you look at what actually happened, she saved a total of $234,000. That was her money that she put to work, her contributions, and yet her portfolio is over $900,000. And she just started with

$25 a month, and this is really an exercise in consistency and improving over time. If you put in any extra effort, if this was more like my marrow moment, where maybe it started off at $100 a month and maybe it went to $200 or even maxing out the Roth IRA before she crossed into her 30s, this even hockey sticks even higher. The big takeaway, though, is—and we even went conservative, we went 8% on the rate of return—there are years where you're going to see that you can easily make 10% and beyond, because we're coming through one of those years right now. So, we didn't want this thing to get away because we wanted to show this works, guys. I mean, I want you to really focus on the behaviors of what you can do today and just start somewhere. I don't care if it's $25 a month, $50 a month, $100 a month—just get the pebble rolling down the hill, and you're going to get addicted, in a good way, to building your

future and better wealth, but your financial circumstance won't change unless your mindset changes. We know a ton of folks who make $100,000 a year, $300,000, $500,000 a year, who say, Guys, I just I don't have any money to invest. I don't have anything left over. If you can't figure out how to save a little bit today at your current circumstance, you're likely going to have a really hard time figuring out later on how to save. So, make sure you begin to build that behavior today, no matter where you are in your financial journey. Don't just assume that, Oh, when I have more money, I'll be a good saver. No, if you're a good saver today, that will be the truest indicator of will you be a good saver in the future. The messy middle is hard. I mean, when you're short on time, you're short on money, and that usually happens in your 30s when you're, you're start, you got the marriage, you got the career, you got the kids, and I get it, but I

want you to know you'll never get that decade back, and I'm also very transparent. I've shared it in Millionaire Mission and a lot of other shows. I didn't feel really comfortable, even though I had good savings habits, I had a good career trajectory going on. I didn't feel comfortable with my money until my early 40s just because that messy middle was whooping me. I mean a lot between starting a company, raising a family, but I always really put forward that I was going to be disciplined, and even though life was hard, I was going to try to take a little bit of today for the future. And that's the part that I want to encourage you. Don't just give yourself the easy out and say, Well, I will do this 7 years from now 'cause the kids will be this age. Do something. I don't care if it's $25, $100, just don't take the easy way out. Even as even in the messy middle, put something towards the future. You know, BR, we do this annual

millionaire survey where we ask our folks, Hey, what are some of your greatest financial regrets or what do you wish you would have done differently? Not one time has anyone ever said, Man, I wish I wouldn't have started investing way back when. Man, I wish I wouldn't have started with $100 a month. I wish I wouldn't have started with $25 a month. It's always, Man, I wish I would have started earlier. I wish I would have saved a little bit more. I wish that I would have figured this out sooner. The sooner you figure it out, the more powerful it can be over the long term. All right, BR, we've talked about a few reasons why people don't invest or they're scared of investing. This last one, I think, is so true, and I understand it. A lot of people say when it comes to investing, when it comes to financial markets, frankly, it's intimidating, it's scary, it's frightening. I don't have a degree in finance. I don't understand all the terminology. I don't know where to start.

man, welcome to why we're here. This is the big why. I think about this. I get very sentimental. I think about my own journey, Bo, your journey. We both come from pretty humble beginnings. And I think about the fact that when I got my first job in public accounting, you know, everybody's all proud of man working in public accounting. Good for you. You must be smart. And I started having income come in. I didn't know where to invest. I didn't have it. You know, somebody didn't do this for me or model it for me in my life ahead of me. So I had to figure it out. And I always, and I look back, and if I wouldn't have gotten fortunate, here's where I was fortunate. I discovered Wealthy Barber. I discovered, you know, Millionaire Next Door. And those things opened up. And then I had this appetite to try to get more and more knowledge to figure out how money works so I could quit working so hard with my back, my brain, my hands. We're here for we really I have tried to Bo and I have tried to cut the corner off for you. You don't have to make the mistakes We Made. You can actually go ahead and jump start. We've got millionaire Mission. We have even beginners guide to investing. I mean, we have tried to throw the kitchen sink at you. You almost have to really dislike wanting to become wealthy once you discover what we're teaching and how good this is. And I feel you're like, well, what's the catch? You guys, there's no way you guys are this nice. Yeah, there's a catch. It's called the abundance cycle. Is that we have learned if we let you give it away just completely load you up. You're going to learn. You're going to apply these Concepts. And then a magical thing is going to happen. And maybe it takes a decade. Maybe it takes 15 years.

You're going to reach a level of success where your simple life, that you just start making small decisions, is stacked on top of themselves. All of a sudden, it's going to start feeling a lot more complicated when you file your taxes, when you're trying to figure out, What do I do now? I've reached figure status. We're going to be, we're going to leave the lights on for you, we're going to be waiting for you, and that's what I love about what the truth and the purity of our messages. We get to love on you, give this to you, let you become the best version of yourself. We'll get our payoff in 15 years, we don't care, we're patient, we're going to be here, we love what we're doing, and it's going to keep rocking and rolling, it really is. Investing is an amazing thing, and it's so wonderful when you recognize, just like Brian said, that your money can work harder than you can. And the sooner you figure that out, and the longer you let

your money work the more powerful it can be. So, don't let yourself be one of these people that's afraid of investing because maybe it's intimidating or because maybe things are tight or maybe you think you'll have more time to do it in the future. Don't fall into those traps. Don't worry about what the market is doing today. Don't worry about all-time highs. Don't worry about if the next crash is coming. Worry about are you saving consistently and saving the right amount to be able to build to your Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow. Uh, on the drive to work, I had to call my mom because I'm going to a funeral this weekend. My uncle passed away, and um, they're doing the funeral. It's my one of my dad's brothers, and um, so we're working out with my mom the airport pickup because I'm only going to be in town for a little bit of time and how we're going to do that. And then she got to say to me, um, Brian, I'm really proud you

know because we also talked about how many employees, and then she's like, I'm just so proud, you know, you figured all this stuff out, and you've grown. And it's kind of an amazing thing. And that's why I just want to remind people, and this is why I love that we get to share, is how your journey started doesn't define how it has to end. And you know, and that's what I think knowledge is the great equalizer. And if we can keep loading you up in a way and keep fulfilling this abundance cycle, I'm hoping that you too, when you talk to loved ones, and they see the fruits of you've reached that bowling point, the fruit is just spilling over, and how you've multiplied and grown your wealth.
