hi everyone. So, if you've been following my progress here on YouTube or on Instagram, I'm actually creating a brand new store, and I'm documenting the whole process. So, my store is all about selling wedding niche things, and I had one of my students in one of my memberships ask me what would be my top three tips for someone who is just starting out and how would they, how would I suggest they go ahead and make their first hundred dollars on Etsy. So, I really wanted to make a video with three amazing tips which I've just implemented for myself, and my strategy is so different now making this new store compared to when I started eight years ago. So, I really wanted to share these with you so that you can implement them as well and kind of fast track through that learning process so you don't have to, I guess, go through those years of just trial and error that I went through. So, let me jump in. My very first tip. So, you've probably heard me talk about trends before, but basically I'm very heavily following trends in

this store so obviously with a wedding invitation niche, you would assume that I would just go in and make a whole bunch of winning invitations. That would be your first thought, but I'm actually doing it in reverse. So you can see, I'm actually creating all of these weird products that you would never expect me to make. First, I've got like thank you notes and signs, love and doughnut signs, just lots and lots of really strange interesting products. Which the reason I do that is because I'm following trends. So I'm currently using three tools actually to track my trends. So I use Insight Factory, I use Sales Samurai, and I also use E-Rank. And I track the search volumes, and I track the tags on all of those. And I'm closely following competitors and seeing what's currently selling. So that's basically what I'm putting all my energy into, making products around, I guess those trends that are currently in high demand. actually, I found the trend here, which was church program wedding. And this is the product that I made from it. So you can see, I went ahead and made that folded program. And I used the trending term search program wedding. This product's already sold four times. So, out of all my products, it's already become the best-selling product in my store, which is really exciting, right? So, try and research trends, find products which aren't your typical go-to in the niche. And that is how you can get a faster foothold and start to get sales sooner. Because obviously, with the wedding niche, if we just make wedding invitations, which I will absolutely do down the track. But if I were to jump in and just make wedding invitations now, there's so many other wedding invitations on Etsy. Mine are going to get lost in the search. And it takes a good 30 days for your products to even get established in search anyway. So when I go in and make, say, let's see something which is a bit strange.

okay, this one here is a really great example. So, QR code business card isop that there is a trending term that I've taken out of Insight Factory, and there's way less competing rsop cards that are in this size, which is business card size, and that have a QR code on them. So right there, I've cut out a lot of competition, and that's how I'm able to get sales a lot quicker. Okay, so tip number two, tip number two is to try and make similar products in a group. So I call this batching, and you can see here I've got like thank you place card, thank you place card, thank you place card, thank you place card. They all use the same size, they all use the same content. I'm just changing small things on them, and it allows me to really quickly work up four listings versus one, and I can change the tags to get a little bit more search volume from that. So you can see just there, they're all so similar, but at the same time, they're all different.

and they really are going to appeal to different people. So that is a great way to really quickly fill out your saw and get more products. And finally, my last tip is to focus in terms of your mindset. You need to focus on the number of products you have in your store versus the number of sales that you are getting on a daily basis. So it does take time to establish yourself on Etsy because it's search engine-based. And that is the same for all search engine-based sites. It's the same for YouTube. It's the same for starting a blog. So please, if you make some products and they don't sell straight away, please do not be disheartened. You really do need that volume, and you need to be constantly chasing those trends to try and get a foothold. When you sell something, listen to what is selling, see what becomes your best sellers, see what is not selling, and really tailor your new products around what is currently selling. So I just want you to go in with the mindset that you do need to hit a

volume of products before you really do see results, and that's okay. It's okay, and the thing is, this is a really great way to make money online. You just need to commit to it, and you need to make sure that you approach it with a business mindset. So you need to go in knowing that you are going to hit this hard, you're going to hit a volume of products, and you're not going to see results for a while. Basically, in my head, I was like, I'm going to make 100 products before I see my first sale. Obviously, I saw my first sale before that, but it really helped with the momentum in creating my products, and really, I guess that it's go time mentality that I'm like, Right, I've got to get these products up, I've got to action this stuff before I see results. So I guess, yeah, if you're going in and you are sort of nervous that you haven't got your first sale and you've only got eight products in your store, I just

really encourage you to keep pushing, keep creating products, and just keep adding to your store. Because as you grow and as you get more products, the sales in your store are always directly tied to the volume of products you have in your store. And I've found this out time and time again in all of my stores. So yeah, it doesn't matter if you're not making sales and you've only got eight products in your store, that is probably the reason why. You just need more products. So I hope you found this really helpful. I hope that those three tips save you a lot of time. I think that, um, yeah, if I had the information starting out, I would have saved myself a lot of heartache. Because yeah, it took me two months to get my first sale on Etsy. It took me ages of trial and error. So I am, I wanted to communicate that that's normal as well. You don't have to get sales right away. I've been at this a long time, so I know exactly what I'm doing when I'm doing.

this, but if you hang in there, if you make the products, if you get that volume of products, the like, the reward is there for you, and it's a proven process. There's so many sellers on the platform who are successful, so you just gotta keep at it. You get just gonna keep pushing through. And yeah, anyway, I hope you found this video helpful.
